Amazing spot to grab a delicious beer. Lost Abbey has been around for a long time, and for good reason. This location is very close to the ocean and one of the best places to enjoy a sunset and feel the ocean breeze.

The atmosphere at The Confessional is fun and old world. The indoor setting is clad in wood and faux tree trunks. There is a huge bar, tons of booths, and tables to sit at. Indoor and outdoor seating available. On a nice day, they open the big roll-up door in the front. The staff is super welcoming and helpful. Its a great spot for parties of all sizes.

They have someone the most unique styles of beer you can get anywhere. They make something to cater to every palate. They are one if the few breweries that really offer some exceptional dark and strong beers year around. Their takes on sours are also exceptional.

We stopped in during a brief trip to Southern California. I had a nice chat with the manager Barbara, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. I shared with her that the Lost Abbey had been an important part of bringing me into the craft beer fold over a decade ago and it remains one of my most revered breweries. Since I now live in Oregon, it was a special experience for me to be at The Confessional and sample their beers on tap. I told her that I had yet to try one of their flagship beers that is traditionally fairly challenging to obtain and she said “let me see what I can do”. Not long after, she produced a chilled bottle of said beer for me to purchase and take home. It honestly meant the world to me and I am very thankful for her warmth and kindness. My FAVORITE “Go to” place after a day at work.. Wonderful & BEYOND friendly staff and can we talk about AMAZING BEER 🍻?!? I’m a Belgian girl and their Judgement Day & Lost & Found double & triple style hit the spot EVERY time; smooth but strong, tasty as the day is long & extremely yummy! High ABV but hey, if I’m trying to “get the job done” all I need is One and it never fails to turn this grumpy ole girl into a delightfully friendly and slightly lit Kook! Plus, if ya think ya need to put a little food in your system before you attempt to drive home ~ they have amazing pizza right next door or the ever so cool Seaside Market to grap a bite to eat.
