Really Great Food and Prices Only Downside is Super Busy Like Tons of People All The Time..! Any Time Of Day!!

So Certain Things Were Forgotten From Customer Service Standpoint came in with 2 children my wife and I and no where to sit and staff would not clear out people done quick enough as there was numerous people waiting for tables booths and we needed a booth to secure a car seat but more tables than booths so our 2 month old was secured to chair best we could not as safe I'd like to feel comfortable. Operational aspect was very busy, tons of customers keep piling in and although comfy there was little space surrounded by other chairs tables people jammed packed. Came in with 4 had only 2 sets of silverware had to ask for 2 for my wife and I which was not noticed until after our food came out. Now the positives...... Good atmosphere of people and family's all jammed packed together laughing enjoying company nearby arm's length or less from each other. Staff were very attentive as first time patrons as many people from my fire department highly recommended this place. The waitress was excellent and knew alot in regards to most popular dishes etc. Owner on site as main cashier was super awesome. Food was really great especially the french toast and my platter all low fair priced. Would definitely go again hopefully with less packed but very...

I am literally shocked by the reviews here. SHOCKED. This place was awful! Stopped in on the way home, looking for breakfast. The parking lot was full and the place was packed, so we thought we hit the ticket! After being seated at a DIRTY table, it then took almost 20 minutes for someone to even bring us menus (even though the woman who sat us was just sitting and talking). I love coffee, and I didn't think it was possible to mess it up, but it tasted like metal. I ordered a western omelette with cheese. My friend a cheese omelette-- both w/ home fires. The omelette's came out LOOKING okay, but the potatoes were neon yellow, no joke, NEON YELLOW! After tasting my omelette, the egg tasted like nothing and the ham in my omelette tasted like it was from a can (spam? EWWWWW!), there was almost no cheese in it- which was probably good, because the cheese taste like it was old. my friend said his was disgusting and only ate some of it after adding a mountain of salt and pepper to get some taste. I literally was able to eat about 3 bites of egg and the potatoes were equally disgusting. I ended up leaving hungry and completely grossed out by the food. Should have known by the fact that this place was on Hazard Ave... their food is a HAZARDOUS to your health. Such a disappointment since I LOVE...

Decent place for breakfast. I first came here over 10 years ago, and once in a while I have been getting breakfast here ever since. It's a quaint New England diner -- full menu for breakfast and several lunch options too. Prices are reasonable, service has been generally friendly. The food, though, is just okay, nothing more. For my usual breakfast, eggs turn out fine, home fries are salty and a bit undercooked and could use some leveling up with other spices. And from my time working in food service distribution, I can tell they skimp out on quality ingredients and cooking things fresh in-house, just by the taste and presentation alone. The bacon, for example, I'm almost positive is bought pre-cooked, they just heat it up for you out of a package. That's not necessarily that bad, but it holds the food back from its potential.

I just come here when I don't feel like cooking on a weekend morning, because I could pretty easily cook a better-tasting and fresher breakfast at home myself, and I'm no chef. Country Diner I think is best when you want to get friends or family together for breakfast and no one feels like cooking themselves. One caution I would give is that it gets extremely busy in here at peak breakfast hours, especially...

Our waiter was, Jay. He's a cool, fun guy and very attentive to the needs of his customers. We ordered a Philly cheese steak omelette with side of hash, homefries and Jamaican Beef Patty stuffed with mozzarella cheese. On a side note, the Jamaican patty does not normally come that way at this establishment, but they were willing to accommodate. We looked around and saw all sorts of different coffee mugs around the restaurant. Apparently, as the story goes, the locals and fan patrons donate their old and unused mugs. Adds a local touch. The food was delicious and plentiful. The prices were reasonable. Expect to take home leftovers. BTW, heated back up, the leftovers tasted amazing! Thank you Country Diner. You get four thumbs up from this happy couple! We will definitely be returning to this establishment!

Visited on a Sunday and probably during their prime time over the weekend. It is certainly very popular and quite busy with having to scavenger for parking spots against everyone who had the same idea as you that day. The waiting line was out the door and handled by a couple of employees for seating and promptness. Dont be ready to sit down unles you're entire party is present - they like to make sure they are serving full parties ready to go, only had to wait about 15 mins to be seated. Wait staff very attentive for drinks and orders which came out quickly. The food was good and worth the visit. It's so busy on weekends that in order to accommodate everyone and their schedule, you feel a little rushed to eat snd go.... but the weekend traffic is definitely more volume and perhaps weekdays is more calming.

Service has declined at The Country Diner. Wait staff is spars and as a result inattentive. We had one waiter, one waitress who was bouncing between rooms and one bus boy. My husband's omelet was not the one he ordered. By the time we could flag down wait staff my children and I were done with our meals. The staff was friendly and apologized profusely. The food was good but after taking a couple large sips of my coffee and looking in my mug I was repulsed! Half of the brown wiped off with a finger the rest was stained....gross! We have had a couple other mediocre post covid experiences here, which is a shame given how great it was before covid. We also frequently ordered takeout throughout the pandemic to support their business employees and family. It is just sad to see a family legacy decline!
