Very upset with the experience here . My first experience was very pleasant on August 25,2025 . I decided to bring my son tonight since he’s a huge Mexican fan. I raved about the place. We definitely will not be going back. We each ordered chicken tortilla soup only one came out. I had to ask the server that dropped off our food who wasn’t our original server to assist with that. Our waitress did not come back to check on us. Interim that same server who dropped off our soups, came back with our food. I told the waitress originally when I ordered absolutely no tomatoeson my taco salad and to please not put any guacamole on my dish. The taco salad came out with soggy tomatoes on top and the guacamole as well. She did not come back to check on us .instead I had to wave down another person and let them know that I can’t eat tomatoes and have a mild allergy to raw tomatoes. The server I flagged down, took the dish away only to return with the same salad with the tomatoes picked off, which you could see that there were chunks of tomato remnants, and seeds mashed into the lettuce. When I asked for the sour cream side without the guacamole, he came back out with that same container that had guacamole and sour cream. I decided not to ruin the experience for my son and just deal with what I had only to have inflamed gums and an allergic reaction. The waitress never cleared our dirty dishes and left them there with the dinner and only checked in at the end to ask if we wanted boxes. I had also asked for sour cream for our son during the meal. I was charged a dollar up charge to go with his steak and cheese quesadillas that should have been included. Normally, I tip starting at a 20% but this time I only did 15% with a note on the side. I wanted it clear I wasn’t looking for a free hand out, but instead that I was really upset with the service and the food. They are lucky that my allergies are mild and not full-blown severe because it could’ve been an issue.. Instead, we will not...

After living in CA for 17 years, AND being a food critic there where I was PAID to find, eat and criticize, I think I have become adept at ferreting out the best of the best.

For Mexican food, owner Reuben has achieved that big time. For one thing, he is one of the FEW Mexican restaurants that does NOT use the dreaded Canola--really really bad oil. He knows this and actually will consider our favorite--Sustain--for the future. But for now it’s a more acceptable oil than Round-up- and hexane-laden industrial seed Canola.

We ordered the chicken mole and a cheesy pork quesadilla, and a chimichanga and and pork enchilada (two different occasions). and all were delicious. The mole is refined and incorporated into the enchilada, not just poured atop, which makes it rich and dreamy. The quesadilla was meaty and cheesy, and served with both sour cream and guac. Yum. Loved the chimichanga, again with guac and sour cream. the pork enchilada was brimming full with delicious shredded pork and a lot of cheesy goodness. And, of course, their margaritas are stellar (more affordable than at some area places), and there are always the complimentary chips and salsa appetizers.

Thanks Rueben, for running the best Mexican eatery in the area, and surviving the huge challenges of the last few years. We're so glad you're still there to be our go to for Mexican food, every bit as good as our CA...

10 years ago this was a good place to go now with inflation. They found a way to make the food less desirable at higher prices. My experience begins with the bartender, not asking us what we wanted having to ask a waiter if we could have margaritas when we gave our order The bartender pulled the liquor from the wall from an unlabeled bottle with clear liquid inside we had requested Milagro silver the waiter question the bartender, whether he was giving us Milagro. I then questioned the bartender if he was indeed giving us Milagro the bartender snapped back at the waiter and Español, and then never spoke to us the rest of our visit. We never asked if we not asked if we ever wanted another drink as mindset fall and my wife's was becoming empty when I wouldn't shrink to drink the waiter in the bartender again conferred in Español calling me a Malacca I guess these gentlemen thought that they're the only people that speak Spanish in Enfield so after calling me a jerk we asked for our check and left no tip. The only reason people go here is because it's the only place in town.Period...

Wonderful atmosphere and service! I came here for lunch with my mom and at first we were considering ordering takeout, but once we got inside we decided to dine in because the dining area was so spacious. They seated us right away and did a great job at spacing everyone out. Since we were holding a takeout menu, they didn't offer us regular menus which was fine. They also had QR codes at every table so we could access the menu digitally if we didn't want to touch anything. Aside from the chips and salsa they gave us, I ordered the street tacos and my mom ordered the bacon shrimp tacos. They were both delicious and came with rice and beans. The service also completed this experience. Our server was extremely kind and patient. She gave us some recommendations since it was our first time there, but what really impressed me was how she lifted those heavy plates like they were made of paper. I'll definitely come back and try something else off the menu!

Let me start by saying I'm from El Paso, Texas. I ordered the Tijuana, and my companion ordered the El Paso. When my companion tells me he doesn't like it, then I know there's no hope for me. Here's what I liked. The beans and rice were pretty good. I was surprised by the rice since most establishments don't know how to make it right. I liked the enchilada once I scraped off the yellow cheese. Please stop with yellow one. Your cheese enchilada was good once I got rid of that atrocity. Yall should really ask if we want "gravy" on the tamal because I didn't grow up with Central Texas grossness. West Texas doesn't eat the tamal as such, it eats them plain. Once I scraped that gravy off I could really tell a good tamal. If I had known those were to come that way I would've asked for them off and changed the cheese. Yall have potential. However, definitely rethink that "salsa" it tasted like watery Pico de Gallo and not in a good way.
