I was so excited to finally find tasty authentic Mexican food. Ever since I found this place I started going there quite often. I went last week and ordered a Chipotle shrimp quesadilla. I asked them to remove the Pico and the chipotle sauce. This quesadilla had beans, corn, cheese and shrimp. They also have a basic shrimp quesadilla. So today I wanted another Chipotle shrimp quesadilla. I go into the restaurant and I couldn't find it on the menu, so the waitress came over and helped me out. I specifically said to her that I wanted it with the beans and the corn I had just had it last week and it was delicious. I also stated that I wanted to make sure I got the right dish because I live like 30 minutes away. I get home and open my order and what do you know it's just a basic shrimp quesadilla. I called them to let them know that my order was incorrect and that I wanted to pick up the correct order. The lady gets on the phone I tell her everything and she's like oh well we're closed and there isn't anything we could do about it, I can't give you a refund. I said I don't want a refund I just want the right food that I ordered. She proceeded to tell me that I got exactly what I ordered, I got a basic shrimp quesadilla. She told me they didn't put beans or corn or anything in it because it's spicy and I said I didn't want it spicy. That's a lie because I specifically told them I just had it last week and that I wanted the beans and corn. So because they were closed they told me they couldn't give me a refund they weren't going to do anything for me and I got what I ordered. You would think they would say my apologies can you come in tomorrow and we'll remake it for you. Nope instead she got snotty and rude, so I told her she lost a new customer because I had already been there twice maybe, this time was the third time in a month (just found the place). I understand mistakes happen and all they had to say was you know what, we will make it right if you could come in on Saturday but no they're telling me they can't get any refunds and I got what I wanted and I didn't. I'm never going back there again and I mean we spent decent money in there one order was over $80 and I believe the first two orders were both over $80 almost a hundred bucks. and that's what's wrong with people today they make a mistake and instead of taking accountability and fixing it they get snotty with you the customer and treat...
Read more6 Month Update: Sabores has maintained consistent quality food and elevated their menu specials and drink options. Chimichangas and Fajita Burrito are a new favorite. Bar glassware has been updated, bar menu expanded, and Margarita prices brought to the local standard. The Mangonada is insanely worth trying. Sabores has evidently made great strides to keep its place as the greatest hidden gem in Enfield.
————— What once was a hole-in-the-wall biker bar is now an incredibly put together Mexican taqueria. Everything from the music to the decor is inviting and familiar, and the space is incredibly clean and seemingly new. The service was above par and prompt, and the friendly bartender was sure to give chips while food was being prepared. Parking, while also in a residential neighborhood, was available on the property and was very accessible.
The counter side chips were fresh and were nice to have while waiting. The birria tacos had good flavor but were a little soggy by the time I got to the third taco. My hands favorite thing ordered (not pictured) was the chicken burrito ordered to go. SUCH a good burrito, well worth the value.
The only suggestion to consider when visiting is that outside of happy hour, cocktails are $16 per plastic cup. While the margarita I ordered was fantastic, when looking at local competitors to enjoy a night out for a few drinks, you’ll see better values for drink selection elsewhere. That said, HAPPY HOUR specials are worth checking out.
Overall Sabores is a wonderful addition to Enfield, even if the location itself is a little curious. Definitely...
Read moreI heard great things only to be severely disappointed on a special day. Their menu has no prices (the drink menus literally have the prices marked off with a sharpie) and no description on what comes with what. I asked about 5 questions to our female server (English speaking Caucasian) and it became apparent I was in the wrong. I was asking all of these "annoying" questions because we had never been there before and we wanted to know what the taco came with (nothing). We wanted to know what kind of sodas they have. So on. The steak was the worst thing I think they could have served. I specifically asked if it was chewy and I was assured it's not and it's tender. Lie. Everyone at my table couldn't rip apart a piece with their hands. I decided to try to just take pieces off to make little tacos but even the pieces I was able to break off were like chewing gum. The steak was taken off and while I appreciate that because it was $30, I can't give a good review because of the outright rudeness and disrespect the server so openly gave us. It baffles me that she would get so frustrated because of questions about her job. The place is small so her going back to the corner and talking about us and laughing with coworkers was beyond...
