There's an incentive for customers to receive a 4% discount if the customer pays with cash instead of a card. I realize the difference is not a really large amount but it is an incentive to offset the cost the store pays for processing card payments I would presume. But, this store is adding the 4% to the original price of the order and then remove it at the register so the customer pays the original price and not receive the discount which eliminates the incentive discount for paying with cash. I have received the incentive price change correctly when this began but, have encountered the 4% upcharge on my last two Sunday visits. Again, the discount is not an incredibly large amount but an incentive is meant to reward if it is being met not to deceive the customer into paying more than the posted menu price if they pay with a card.
My wife suggested we go to this location as she was having a pregnancy craving for fried chicken and we needed to get dinner for both of our kids. When we pulled into the drive through there was 1 car ahead of us. When it was our turn to order we chose the 12 piece family meal with mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and Cole slaw. The lady over the intercom advised us it would be a 15 minute wait. 10 minutes of the wait time occurred while the car in front of us waited to receive their order. Once we pulled forward and paid we had already waited 13 of the supposed 15 minutes. We were then asked to pull forward to the end of the parking lot and they would bring us our order. This is where this terrible experience got even more laughable. After 30 minutes of waiting in our running car after being lied to by the staff about the wait time, we went inside to find out the status of our order where we were told it would be another 15 minute wait. This location has pretty deceitful business practices by training their employees to lie to customers to get their money. The owner of this location should be ashamed of the poor customer service being offered. They obviously dont care enough about honesty and quality of service to try and retain repeat business. After telling the staff we were done waiting they miraculously came up with our order instantly. Telling us another 15 minutes was apparently another one of their lies. A customer at the counter tried to order some chicken only to be told they didnt have any chicken and could only get a pot pie. How does Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken, which was founded on chicken, not have chicken? Obviously the owner of this location is too busy counting their money to find time to identify key customer service needs. DO NOT GO TO THIS...
Read moreWell I decided to try out Lees chicken for the first time, it sounded good. Went in ordered my food, lady at the counter was expressionless but friendly enough. Tenders were fresh and hot, and crispy, biscuit was butter and good, wedges were meh, but overall pleasant experience.
I was working on a project nearby, and finished, and decided to stop back on my way out for a quick refill of my soda not an hour later.
The old dude with the ponytail gave me this nasty inquisitive look as I was walking in getting a refill and asked me in that bitchy tone “can I help you?”
I explained I was just in and had my chicken tenders, ice still in the cup, and was stopping for a quick refill.
He then cut me off and said “there are no refills once that cup goes out the door”
I was like oh…okay and walked out with my half cup of soda.
So moral of the story is, I was probably going to stop back in more since the food was good, but because of that attitude, congratulations; you saved $0.20 of bib syrup and lost a future repeat customer.
Honestly, if he would have been friendly, I would understand; it’s store policy…but he made me feel like a delinquent…so yeah back to Popeyes and...
