I saw someone recently asking about Wor Su Gai in a different foodie group and the last post I saw about it in here was almost a year ago. This is one of my favorite dishes and I’ve had trouble finding a good version with brown sauce. I read that sometimes it’s referred to as Almond Chicken. China Star in Englewood is my new favorite place to order from. Their Almond chicken has carrots, cabbage, broccoli, snow peas, peppers, and mushrooms and the chicken is perfection. The picture does not do it justice! We also had their egg rolls, teriyaki steak, plain lo mein, and sesame chicken. Everyone was happy with their meals. Next time I want to try their beef egg rolls, as I bet they’re authentic and tasty and I used to buy homemade ones from a guy at my husband’s work. These guys also have chow me fun, many varieties of egg foo young, and bourbon chicken in addition to the normal Chinese menu options. I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Ever since New China in Trotwood closed, I've been looking for a new Chinese place. I ordered eggs rolls, crab ragoon, shrimp lo mein, beef lo mein, and general tso. The only thing I would get again is the crab ragoon. The rest of the food wasn't memorable or lacked flavor. My mother in law disliked her food so much that she didn't even eat it. The portion sizes for the lo mein were small. Honestly, at this point I need to make my own chinese. Given that I don't like to cook, that tells you a lot.

I called and placed a order for the first time at this place. I was nervous since it was mixed reviews but the pictures looked amazing. I got bourbon chicken with fried rice and a order of crab Rangoon. The chicken is amazing and the fried rice was perfect. The Crab Rangoon were good and made with great sweet cream cheese. I wanted to do a review because they are great and I normally go to the other restaurant next to speedway.

The food was actually quite good but delivery took 1hr 45min. Thats completely unacceptable. Im gonna try and order there one more time but if I have to wait more than 45 minutes for delivery I'll never order from them again. UPDATE tried ordering from there again and I didnt even finish placing the order. I forgot when i did my original review that I had this same problem the first time also and I ended up just telling them to forget it. The problem is that the people that answer the phone dont speak English very much so trying to place your order is difficult at best. You have to repeat your address like 5 times before they finally understand what you said and then I try to order a single person portion size food and the price ends up being like $23. So I try to explain to them again that I dont want the large size, I want something smaller and less expensive and she asks me what I want. /facepalm... I was like I just told you what I want but you cant understand what Im telling you. This coming from someone married to a first generation immigrant who also doesnt speak perfect English. Im no stranger to trying to figure out the language barrier but for a business I feel like this is ridiculous. At least hire someone who speaks better English to answer your phones.

just...

My son and I were visiting the area from Richmond Indiana. We stumbled across this place while shopping in the plaza. The food was EXCELLENT!! Hot and fresh!! Flavor was amazing! I’m very particular about crab Rangoon. Theirs was exactly how I like them. Hint of sweetness but not too much and not too much onion. Perfect! We also got the chicken teriyaki sticks!! Tender and so good!!! Chicken and veggies tasted just right! My son got the Bourbon chicken and it was REALLY good! Egg rolls on point as well. We were really impressed! I would drive from Richmond JUST to come and eat. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such kind and friendly service. Even my son said, “Mom she is so sweet.” Overall we had a great experience! I’m not Keith Lee but I did add the restaurant to my TikTok page in hopes it brings more...
