SpringTree Bagel — Restaurant in Englewood

When my boyfriend drops me off to work, We every so often stop at this bagel shop because it’s close to my job. However, every single time we stop in there and place an order, they are ALWAYS messed up. after so many times of getting messed up orders, i really had to write this review. We don’t order more than one breakfast sandwich, and definitely not complicated so i don’t understand why this happens every single time. My order this morning was a sausage egg and cheese on a regular buttered roll. they gave me a poppy seed roll. that i never asked for. When my boyfriend orders, they always mess something up as well. Couple weeks ago they gave him egg and cheese on a roll when he specifically ordered a taylor ham, bacon egg and cheese. He told them and a guy there re-did it for him, and made everything super salty. I don’t understand who’s making these sandwiches back there but it’s really crazy how it gets messed up each and every time. that’s ridiculous. I just don’t see myself coming back here. It’s crazy when you have a simple order like a toasted sesame, scrambled egg, cheddar ham, hot sauce, ketchup, and the girl at the counter who speaks terrible English doesn’t write it down and you know you’re not gonna get that order right so when I kindly asked her to write it down because they constantly screw up the order she gave me a snotty look to begin. My order was correct but for eight dollars which is pathetic one tiny egg that wasn’t scrambled One slice of ham and one slice of cheese I could barely taste anything except the bagel that’s how pathetic that egg sandwich was. Wasn’t a four dollar or five dollar sandwich it was eight dollars. Most places will at least give you three slices of Taylor ham and two eggs. I will not be going back. I will find a meal elsewhere that has much more value. And...

Spring Tree is a mixed bag. I like to have a bagel with Sliced Lox and Cream Cheese once a week. I used to go to Spring Tree because their lox is excellent. I don't go any longer because they make this expensive sandwich out of scraps they save from cutting slices. It;s ok to use those scraps in the lox spread but for over $10.00 for a sandwich I want sliced nova or lox not scraps. I told the owner and he suggested I tell the workers to cut fresh slices. Tried that and got a hard time. Too bad. Great bagels and generally nice staff. The owner really should stop this practice. Have some pre-sliced nova ready for sandwiches and stop pawning...
