I am a huge fan of locally owned restaurants. There is a dear spot in my heart for good country cooking. This place is covered up everytime I ride by so we were excited to stop in and see what all the fuss was about. The line forms to the right in cafeteria style. You are faced with options that are dipped up for you and then you choose and fill your own drink. The first person we encountered was a young female doing the dipping. She was in a hurry and borderline rude when she ignored my mothers request for cranberry sauce and rushed to fill the next plate. Efficiency is fine but it should always be friendly. We paid 20.00 for a meat, two veggies, two sweet teas, and a slice of pecan pie. The rest of the staff was friendly and accomodating. The food however was not worth the money by any means. All of our meat and side items were room temperature or cold. Even the gravy was tepid. My mother's sliced pork did have wonderful flavor but was also not very warm. The tea was good and tasted fresh. After we sat down we were waited on by two women making rounds with refills. They were prompt and nice. When I asked for a little side of ranch dressing (to dip my cold rubbery chicken tenders into), I was given an entire bottle of kraft dressing. This is not the usual way to serve individual sauces and can pose a health risk. Other than the food being way under par for the price and the girl in the cafeteria line, the place was fine. We both left wondering why the restaurant was so popular. I doubt we will ever...
Read moreToday 5/24/18 I had a bad experience at Cutts. I ordered the chicken tenders, dressing, yams and apples, the guy in front of me ordered chicken tenders and 2 sides, he was given 5 tenders and his sides, when my plate was fixed, I was only given 3 tenders, I asked if you dine in versus carry out do u get more food, reply was no, I then asked the cashier at checkout the same question and explained why, she said no, she then took my plate to the back and preceded with checking me out, but my total came to 11+ change, I asked why and she said that she gave me 2 extra tenders and charged me for 1 because the boss was standing there. I paid although I knew then that I would not be dining there anymore. I work hard for my money and what you are not going to do is insult my intelligence and play me stupid. I’ve been a customer of Cutts from when they were selling Chilli Dogs out of the gas station in Level Plains. There is no question as to the guy asking and paying for extra tenders, this was not the case. Therefore I know that it’s a discrimination open and shut case. I’ve always peeped this out in the past, but because I enjoyed the food, I continued to spend my money there. So in other words you charged me $3 for the 2 extra tenders, but, the white guy got 5 with his meal at no additional charge? Goodbye Cutts...I...
Read moreUse to really enjoy eating at Cutts. The food is pretty good most days. However, the last few times I have been in you are so rushed through the buffet line it's ridiculous. When in line you are being asked what you want......before you can actually get to the food to see what is being offered/served. The server's behind the buffet always seem so impatient even if you are trying to make a quick/fast decision. I had stopped bringing my younger grandchildren to Cutt's because of this having to rush through the line. I decided to try the restaurant again today (after many months of not) with my two granddaughters. Same issue again.....the two girls were trying to decide with my help what they wanted and at the same time I'm being asked what I want....with not really being given the chance to finish helping my girls and with the same rushed feeling and attitude from the serving staff. You are so rushed through the line...that as unusual, we all three sat down to eat with not much of anything either of us wanted.....instead we had just picked anything we could get a glimpse at as being herded past the servers. Being that Cutt's is just OK for what I call a "meat & two or three" kind of place....it's not good enough for me to go back to and feel completely "stress out" just trying to pick...
