I would not choose to visit this place again due to the food and the prices. The food was not as good as other places nearby. The hashbrowns were flavorless and bland. The chicken fried steak dish was below par. It seemed like it was a pre-frozen patty prepared not freshly cooked from scratch. It looked much like a McDonald's chicken nugget looks. Not exactly like but very similar. With no official online menu it was difficult to determine the price point of this restaurant. I had found pictures of the menu on their Facebook page. All had reasonable prices displayed. When I arrived, the "current" menu they have had elevated prices of up to $3 more than the only pictures I found of any version of their menu. Obviously those pictures were outdated. But when comparing the food and portion sizes of this restaurant to other comparable restaurants in the area it does not justify the prices they charge for what you receive. For instance... The kids French toast dish and the "Smaller Appetite" French toast dish are exactly the same in what comes on the plate. One egg, One piece of French toast, And two sausage links or pieces of bacon. The kids version is $3 cheaper. That's the only difference. They charge an adult more for the same thing. I noticed most of their hamburger dishes used to be all under $10.95. And that was maybe the most expensive. 95% of the rest were under $10. Now all are at least $11.50 or higher. Those are just a couple examples. The purpose of this review is not to deter but to inform. Allow others to make an educated decision if there are a potential new customer. Go into this expecting to be let down unless your standards are set low. The are other restaurants in the city limits of Enumclaw that are much better choices if you want quality at a much better...
Read moreFirst, I want to say the staff was awesome. Great service, very friendly. However, the food was lousy. I ordered a Mad-sterpiece sandwich. Basically a french dip with onions and swiss cheese. I had onion rings on the side. The sandwich had very little roast beef and the swiss cheese was the processed kind, not real swiss. So it had this odd flavor and velveeta texture. The Au-Jus was watery and had no flavor, even after I added salt. The biggest issue though was the onion rings. They came burnt. When I complained about them, the staff was quick to get me new ones that looked great, but tasted like they were burned. So clearly the oil they were fried in had not been changed in a while. Then there was the $3.75 soda. This meal was not worth $18, even if it had not been horrible. I write this review in hopes that the owner will make some needed quality improvements. I would really like to give Charlies a...
Read moreThe food was pretty good. It was the hostess.. seemed like she was the boss or thought she was. She bossed us around and treated us like we were an inconvenience. Very abrasive young girl who treats everyone like kids. Should not be dealing with customers. We had to wait to be seated, told it would be about twenty minutes.. even though there were empty tables... i was fine with waiting if i knew where. I think she wanted us to wait in our car. i asked where we should wait.. no answer. I suggested the empty bar. She told us if we do we wont be moved to a table. I have a bad back and am not comfortable without back support. She didnt care.. i stayed bc we were hungry. The service was fine. The food was pretty good..except the hash browns were the worst i have ever had.. they were really bad. Honestly would come back and try again if the boss lady had a clue how she comes...
