Such an amazing experience last night at Holy Grail! It was was my wife’s birthday and her first choice of restaurants to go to was Holy Grail. We kept inviting family to join and before we knew it we had a party of 17. I knew they didn’t take reservations so was a bit nervous that they might not be able to fit us all in. And I definitely didn’t want to just show up unannounced with that many people and make it chaotic for them. I gave the hostess a call and explained our situation. She was very helpful and said they could absolutely fit us in and they would have tables waiting for us. Sweet!! 👍🏻 Our server..(I forget her name..I’m so bad with names) was incredible! So organized, very friendly, patient, and helpful. She nailed everything! The food was delicious. I’ve never had a bad meal here and try to change it up each time. The fish and chips are great with a nice crispy beer batter! We brought our own ice cream cake and they were very accommodating to hold it in their freezer for us. And even lit candles on it and brought it out singing Happy Birthday! We had a few slices left and we wanted to share the leftovers with the entire waitstaff and kitchen because they did such an awesome job. Thanks so much and keep up the great work!! We’ll definitely be back in the future many times ❤️

Interesting atmosphere in a former church converted into an Irish pub. Server was attentive and food was served in a reasonable time. For the most part the food was good. The reuben rolls were delicious. Nice and crispy with panko topping and tender corned beef inside. The fish and chips and the cole slaw that came with them were amazing. We love that they are beer battered, not merely breaded. The corned beef and cabbage dinner was disappointing. The potatoes, carrots, turnips, and cabbage were okay but lacked flavor. The biggest disappointment was the quality of the corned beef. A generous portion was served but most of it was inedible. There was a huge amount of fat and the meat that surrounded it was so tough that it couldn't be cut with a knife. I had to pick off the few tender pieces with my fingers and most of the cut went into the trash. I would try Holy Grail again but would order something else next time.

Stopped in at 1pm on Saturday for lunch. We were sat immediately at a table next to the bar. The decor is great to look at. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 waters. We had to ask for the waters 3 times before we finally got them. We ordered the scotch eggs app, french onion soup, and beef stew to start and California chicken sandwich special and bangers and colcannon. We watched the entire bar get served and turnover then the second round start getting served before we got any food. It took over an hour to get our app and soups. The scotch eggs were disappointingly bland and only saved by the colemans mustard and peach chutney. The french onion soup was horrible. It tasted like brown onion water. And the stew was barely warm. Very disappointing. We asked for the rest of our meals to be packaged to-go. And it's too bad because the chicken sandwich and bangers and colcannon were good. Disappointing because the place wasn't packed.

We love the Holy Grail and I would say that normally we have a 5 star experience but tonight we had what I would say was 1 star service. The server really had no concept of what it means to serve guests. She was mostly concerned with leaving which is fine, we would have much preferred her to come over and ask us if she could cash out so she could leave instead of her menacing hovering and incessant interruptions over the table. She also didn’t understand the concept of bringing an appetizer out first and main courses second but kept insisting that at the holy grail they don’t do that.😂 sorry lass but we’ve been eating there for 5 years and this is the first time we’ve heard of this😂😂😂. Very rarely do we leave a less than 25%-30% tip but tonight it was 10%. Anyway, food was good, drinks were good, service was bad and weird. Hopefully it was an isolated incident. Not an isolated incident. Once again terrible service. 20 Minutes sitting there waiting before anyone showed up to take our drink order. We ordered our first round of food and then when we tried to order more food were told that the kitchen had closed. It was 9:04. We then watched for the next 25 minutes as food came out of the kitchen. If you’re already in the restaurant eating and the kitchen is about to close, as a server shouldn’t you let your table know? Just common sense. Also, why close your already open kitchen when you have diners? As a restaurant, why lose $? I don’t think...

So disappointed in this place. Before coming I checked the menu and it looked amazing, so my family Decides to give it a try. Half of us got salads with out meals and when I took my FIRST bite, I pulled a hair out of my mouth. This was right before I pulled out 3 pieces of discolored wilted lettuce. Then when I received my meal, chicken pasta Alfredo, it had a odd watery oil ring around my pasta, my chicken was portion size for a child and the pasta was wrong. This was just MY mistake not to mention the other mistakes they made with our other meals. They remade my pasta yet used the same chicken from my prior plate which made it dry and chewy. There were numerous error and I understand things can happen but this was too many mistakes in one night to be looked over. When we got the bill they never took off my meal. When we spoke to our waitress she told us “well the salad come free with your meal” I DO NOT CARE IF THE SALAD WAS FREE, I HAD ANOTHER PEROSN HAIR IN MY FOOD THAT WENT INTO MY MOUTH. They only took my meal off the bill because we asked her too. She claimed to have spoken to her manager yet I don’t see how any manager would find the acceptable. Disgusted with this place. We will...
