We walked in at 9 pm, we were just ordering apps and drinks to eat while we ordered food to go. Appetizer order was not correct, waitress didn't double check before she brought it out, but she made it right. Ok. Ordered the food to go because I know close is at 10 pm and we don't want to hang around, just go home. Ordered two dinners one with side salad for an extra fee and asked if we could purchase a whole strawberry pie to go. (Saw 2 in the pie case on the way in), the waitress says she has to check and will let us know. Again , understood it might not be possible. We are eating our appetizers/drinking our drinks and out pops the waitress with our dinners in a bag with the check, no explanation about pie, no offers of something else, just disappears . We go to pay and I say things aren't as good as usual. I get " oh sorry to hear that" no questions about what was not right, no actual "F's" given. Ok, I still tipped, but not like I normally would. I usually do - 20-35% is my ballpark. I gave about 15% which I consider bare minimum. I got home my salad was missing but they didn't charge the extra charge, but no second side either - which I did pay for. All in all not a great night time experience . None of the usual responsive, friendly staff and managers were on. They are the ones that are usually there that make sure orders and everything run smoothly- not tonight . Read moreThis was the most pleasant dining experience that I have had in over 20years..too bad i had to drive over 4hours to get such good service. The waitress Doreen..was so pleasant and her sincerity made us feel like we were back in the old days where good customer service was natural and it made you prefer dining out rather than dining at home. Doreen treated all of her customers with pleasantry and care. We noticed that she knew them by name and even remembered their orders. There was also a young gentleman by the name of Carter who took our payment at the front. He was just as pleasant and showed great customer service that was genuine. He joked with us and showed interest in whether or not we enjoyed our dining experience. if i was able i would have left a hefty tip for both of them..they are very deserving of a Reward and acknowledgement from the company because they are definitely a reflection of how well the company trains and selects their staff. Read moreWaitress didn't change her gloves after using chemicals to clean tables emptying trash with the same gloves and then brought out our food with same gloves and when we asked for salt and pepper she brought them out with same gloves and was holding them in one hand and the dirty glove was on top of both shakers when my daughter asked if they had single packets of salt and pepper she said they don't carry them and said that the salt and pepper she brought us was perfectly fine and my daughter politely explained that she had the same dirty gloves on and that that was a health issue and she got mad walked back to the kitchen and ripped her gloves off and threw them hard in the trash and was complaining to other employees.
