Valerio's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Erie

I placed an order online on Feb, 4, 2023 for pickup 4 hours later (at 3:45pm...not during the dinne rush) for a group of 10 people. I actually spent almost $150 for a variety of different items. It was a disaster all the way around. Half of the food wasn't there and what was there was cold and/or not made correctly. They actually gave us a container of icerberg lettuce...ONLY icerberg lettuce instead of the large antipasto I ordered and paid $12 for. When I spoke to the manager, he was rude and told me that they have lots of people pay for an antipasto and just want lettuce. He said that would not raise a red flag and prompt them to call me even though they had my phone number. When I hung up from that call, I realized that we never got the 20 wings I ordered at all and when I called they said they were sitting there. They said I could come get them or they would deliver them. They delivered the wings almost 3 hours after we should have had them! We have been good customers at Valerio's for years, but we have had it with the poor service and even more with the rudeness and attitude I received from the manager when I was being polite and just trying to get what I paid for....

UPDATE: after taking a break for a few years, we tried again. Things are much better now and we order probably once a week. Our order is always correct and cooked to order. The steak salad is amazing. Real steak pieces, not just shredded steak. Very glad things have turned around!

Pretty irritated tonight. We ordered for pickup, and get the food home. I start eating the chicken, pepperoni onion calzone I ordered only to find I was given a sausage, pepper and mushroom calzone, that by the way didn't have one bit of ricotta cheese in it. I call, tell them what happened and I'm sure I sounded angry because I was. This is not the first or second time its happened, its prob 5th or 6th. She says we will make another. I said you're going to deliver it right because I've gone out once already. Yes, we'll deliver it. It didn't show up for over an hour! I was getting ready to order from somewhere else (because at this point, we ordered 2 hours ago) when they showed up. Seems to me if you mess up an order, you'd make sure they got their order asap. we literally live 5 minutes away. I realize they are busy but it has happened so many times that its inexcusable. Poor...

This is the 3rd time that I have had problems with my food and Service. I am very understanding with staff shortage so I don’t be in a rush for my food being that I live two blocks away anyways. Tonight has been the worse of the worse and I will not EVER go back as long as people are acting the way they are in there. I got all drums for my ranch chicken but there was no ranch on my chicken at all my chicken was cold and I had to warm it for my son and I shouldn’t have. I was told 5 more mins for my French fries but it was actually 21 mins and they were not fresh out the grease hot at all and I had to warm them up also, it’s ridiculous I was very patient and understanding as always and I never complain but to have to warm all my food up in the microwave and it just wasn’t right yet another time and people think it’s funny or a game and yes I could’ve cooked but I just worked 16 hours and wanted something that I have enjoyed for years but I will take my business...
