The front counter guy was giving me bad customer service from the get go, I was very tired from work but still said thanks and tried to talk my best but I’m absolutely exhausted from working in the heat. I giggled a little and smiled and did my best and his face was absolute stone faced and snarky. He didn’t even say ‘your drink will be out shortly’, he just took my money looked at me putting the tip in and that was it, it was awkward honestly from what I’m used to. So as for the drink, I asked for light ice, it said light ice every single time I come here it’s never light ice when requested and I see I’m not the only one according to the reviews! Look this isn’t a trick to get more liquid we just don’t want a lot of ice! Just a small layer of ice is fine I don’t need half the cup filled with ice it gives me a weird headache. The drink was made with way too much milk, my aftertaste is milk only, maybe it should be barely buzz not better buzz. The drink quality has gone downhill I don’t find myself excited to come here anymore. I came back in to dump some ice back out in the garbage instead of the parking lot, and I NICELY stated, look I know you guys work hard, but I asked for light ice and there’s a lot of ice in here and all I can taste is milk. He looked at me as if he was some snarky teenager and about to laugh but didn’t, ‘I don’t care/complacent’ Leaving me feel uncared for and unimportant. I used to work in the food industry I used to be a manager I get it, i don’t treat people like crap i just give normal feedback. I don’t take my mood out on anybody and today I’m not even in a bad mood I’m just tired and hot, I didn’t come in to pay 7 dollars and a tip for ice and milk with barely any matcha to be found, I didn’t even have to stir the usual matcha on the bottom I used to get. What happened guys? Trying to cut cost? Not coming back, it sucks to have a good thing go! But yeah definitely cut that dudes hours. Not cool. Going to collect a paycheck is his choice but that is suppose to be a customer service based place with a good atmosphere. Not anyone with teenage attitude....

My recent visit to Better Buzz left much to be desired, unfortunately.
Walking in, I was immediately struck by how loud it was inside, ike staff, customers and the music were competing to be heard. . The atmosphere felt cramped and crowded, which made the whole experience somewhat uncomfortable from the outset.
The lobby area was in dire need of attention. It appeared dirty and disheveled, which was quite off-putting. It detracted significantly from the overall ambiance of the place. Sitting down with a cup of coffee should be a relaxing experience, but having to clear my own area, pick up the place a bit (straighten chairs, clean the water/sweetener area) it was just disappointing - and let's not talk bathroom - ewwwww.
While ordering, I couldn't help but notice that the prices were surprisingly high considering the quality and service provided. The menu items did not seem to justify the astronomical prices charged.
Customer service was lackluster. There was no notable effort from the staff to engage with customers or provide a welcoming experience. It felt impersonal and rushed.
In my opinion, Better Buzz should consider installing self-service kiosks to streamline ordering process and potentially lower prices to better match the overall experience offered.
Overall, my visit to Better Buzz was underwhelming. The combination of loud surroundings, a cramped feeling, neglectful lobby conditions, high prices, and poor customer service left much to be desired. I hope they consider addressing these issues to improve the dining experience for future patrons.
I was super disappointed - there is a location coming to my hometown in Tempe, AZ and thought I would carry this experience back home while we waited for our location to open. With so many local (and other chain) coffee shops my money is better...

What We Tried
Hazelnut Divinity: This drink truly lives up to its name. The hazelnut flavor is rich and pairs perfectly with the creamy milk and smooth espresso. The large hot drink is a comforting choice, especially on a chilly winter morning. While on the pricier side, the quality makes it worth the splurge.
Food and Atmosphere
Better Buzz offers a variety of breads, salads, and sandwiches, making it a great spot for a light meal or snack. The popularity of the location is evident, especially on Saturday mornings, when the line can be quite long. However, the efficient and friendly staff ensures that drinks and food are prepared quickly, keeping wait times reasonable.
It's dog-friendly while sitting outside.
