I have eaten at many Chinese Restaurants for years...this one not good.
Ordered 2 days before Christmas at busy time of 730 PM. Told it was 15 min wait to pick up. Ordered 7 main items. General Chicken was cold...fried chix was hard and obviously done hours before and a warm glaze sauce poured over it. The same for the Mandarin Chicken...like eating cold leftovers. This is a 'trick' ( pouring warm sauce over pre fried chicken)some will try instead of doing it fresh per order. Kung Pao chix was mushy and lacked flavor..also was as it taken in ladeled from sheet pan...not stir fried fresh. The noodles were also cold. The worst Kung Pao I have had. However, the shrimp with snow peas was great..and the spicy shrimp too ( because they know they can not pre prep shrimp and hold it like they do the chicken)nice and hot..made it obvious the other three chix dishes were prepped hours earlier. Non of the flavors popped...reallybland food done with a rush,. Portions were all small for a dinner item...came in very nice plastic to go containers that are about 1/2 inches deep. . Called 5 days later ( I live out of area in Washington state)...relatives live in Escondido. I called...had to call back at 4 PM three times in order to reach the mgr. But..I wanted to ....that is how bad it was, Manager ( Dennis) said I should have called the same day, not 5 days later...He looked up my order...he said he would have done something had I called the day of. I told him I didn't call due to Christmas rush. Oh well...no big deal. He didn''t apologize either....I told him I was not trying to get a free meal, just wanted to let him know what happened since I have worked in about 15 restaurants and I cook a lot of Chinese food myself. Read moreI order party trays and schedule a pick up at 11am. My husband went there by 11 to pick up the food, however the food is not ready yet by 11 and they finish it all past 12 noon. I am so dissappointed and stress out and called them because my baby's birthday party start at 12, and we still have to drive from there to valley center. We are supposed to pick up the food by 11 and have 1 hour preparation before the visitors came in, i called the store and ask why they would commit us that the food is schedule to pick up by 11 when they really can't prepare all the food with the agreed time of pick up. And the guy on the phone is also upset and screaming and angry at me too telling that they open at 11am, we are preparing your food, asking me what do i want them to do if the food is still not ready. He told me what do you want me to say, say sorry? Is that what you want. Then he talk to my husband who is in the store waiting for all the food, your wife's calling me and won't stop fighting. He was extremely angry at me too! This is so unbelievable! I have the right to complain as the store agreed to pick up the food by 11, it all messed up our plans, the timing and our preparations for my baby's birthday party. It would have been different,if the guy on the phone talked to me nicely and apologetic, id probably understand more.But instead, he also get mad at me and yelling over the phone. You have to respect other people's time. If you can't prepare it on the agreed time, then let the customer know that it's not possible to get the food at that specific time so we can plan ahead and makes some adjustment. Read moreI place an order over the phone of wings with pork fried rice. When arrival to pick the order, the wings were spicy. I explained I wanted just regular wings. The gentleman at the cash registered got angry bf agitated that it was not his fault for the error, and ask me “who will pay for the regular non spicy wings is not my fault” I express that I do not need the spicy wings just wanted the ones ordered. With anger the gentleman employee was very disrespectful and furiously ordered the wings and continuously saying who will pay for the wings. The embarrassment in front of other customers, the lack of understanding, the lack of customer service, the disrespect to my persona, I believe the employee should not be in business. They just lost a frequent customer. I hope this serves as an example for other customers in the future. This behavior is not acceptable. Bless...
