Donut World — Restaurant in Escondido

It’s been years since I’ve visited this place. They’ve been around as long as I can remember. I stopped in originally chasing the bit of nostalgia I had coming with my family years ago. I honestly came in with low expectations. It’s a fairly small shop and it doesn't do a whole lot in terms of marketing and the selection of donuts is kept pretty strictly to some of the classics. But I was so delightfully surprised by the execution. I got a whipped cream chocolate bar, a Boston cream, and a bear claw. I've been coming to this donut shop since before I was in high school, it's still owned by the same family. The donuts are always super fresh, they have giant flakey croissants with ham and cheese, coffee and and assortment of other donuts. I've never been disappointed and the staff is always so nice and welcoming. Prices have gone up just like everything else but the prices here are fair considering.
