I understand this place has mixed reviews and mine will be one of the most honest you have see on here. First I will say I have cooked in competitions for bbque. So here we go. First time here when we open the door you can smell the smoke and I had high hopes smells like it should. Got to counter and young lady behind it was no very friendly and just stand offish. Ordered the combo plate and my lady had pulled pork sandwich. Went to get silverware and first 2 pieces we pulled out had something on them. We then got our plates it looked very dry but sometimes bbq can surprise you. The ribs ×2 was so hard on the outside skin it was not bark it was like concrete ate abou 3/4 out of the 2 (no rub or flavor was tasted very bland) the ham was the bright spot though cold it had good flavor.... the brisket was the worst I have ever seen or tasted I actually had to ask the girl if it was brisket or roast beef. That no bark no smoke rings no anything I have cooked brisket texas style since I could remember and yall this was not brisket. Next the sides mac salad was good small portion though. The baked beans were a liitle sweet for my liking and tasted a litttle old ( oh we were there around 7-8ish at night as well) so close to closing yime not sure. The highlight was the bbq sauce which was tangy and sweet a great mixture.
On to the pulled pork sandwich whivh was recommened was quite dry and not much flavor (might as well crock pot it) the cold slaw was a good slaw and really rich another little bright spot. The onion rings tasted like old grease maybe woukd be better with fresh grease.
I dont write many of these but I take bbq seriously and for the price i think total was 32 dollars I was not thrilled and prob wont be back! I always give bbq a benefit of the doubt if 1 meat is over cooked or not flavorful bit in this case it was 3 meats .
So if you like dry bbq (before) sauce and not to much flavor to tingle your mouth this maybe be okay for you. Def. Not award winnings by anymeans but a family mom and pop shop in the neighborghood.

I was craving some protein and wanted to try something new for the kids. The staff there were very friendly acknowledgable about the menu. They do have a child's plate and multiple sides.
There was also lots of space and tables. The whole place was empty which should have been mildly concerning on a Sunday with such low prices.
Straight to the point. Something is wrong with the way they are barbecuing. Either the meat was frozen at some point or it was steamed to death. Because it was either mushy and flavorless or hard and dry.
Unless I missed it there was only one sauce. It was watery and sweet. Between my husband, myself my two kids we had a good variety of sides. The potato salad was flavorless and I suspect pre-packaged. I know for a fact the onion rings were, but they were the best part of my meal so I'm not going to complain there. The macaroni salad look like it came from a box, but my twins sure liked it. There was also ketchup and mustard available. The barbecued beans were also very solid. The ribs had gristle filled fat and I was so saddened.
There was no AC but some fans were running. Pretty tolerable heat, but probably not a place to bring someone of poor health or advanced age. Both a male and female bathroom in the back, although you have to walk through the kitchen. They were both clean and solidly maintained.
