Often, the debate about barbecue is whether wet or dry is better. Overall, this was on the dry-side. We ordered the lunch specials - Pulled Pork and Brisket sandwiches with chips and cookies. The meat was well-seasoned (not greasy) and nicely presented on a giant potato roll. We ordered coleslaw topping to the Brisket. Portions are large. We both agreed that the Almond Joy cookie was yummy and the perfect dessert pairing. Not sure what was going on with the "Vinyl record section" inside, but it was a little bit cluttered and dusty, maybe they are in the midst of re-organizing? 3-4 picnic tables outside under the pine trees for use. Read moreWe had friends coming over and decided to try Porky Pete’s for the first time yesterday (We have a beach house in Westbrook and used to get our BBQ from Chesters in Clinton...but they are now closed). We ordered ribs, brisket, pulled pork, beans and corn bread. OMG!!! Really outstanding!! Serious BBQ!!! Everyone raved about the food! He was very unhelpful and she ended up not getting anything. If he hadn’t have already made my order I would have left without it. Also ordered cornbread but per the guy it was “too crumbly” and fell apart so we couldn’t have any. Food was okay but service...
