Very inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly, my waitress was extremely honest. The waitress recommended NOT to have the following: the beef brisket because it can be dry; meatloaf was not flavorful as well as the casserole. The Mac and Cheese was dry.

With that in mind I ordered the following :Pulled pork platter with coleslaw and sweet potato fries, Mild boneless wings, and Cheesecake. I drank sweet tea and coffee. You get bread with honey butter when you get to the table, which is delicious. The bread was the perfect crisp and warm.

Sweet tea: It was not southern sweet tea. Just the normal sweet tea, usually find in the northern states. Mild Boneless wings: Mild sauce was perfect. It had the perfect hint of spicy. if you don't like spice, you can handle this! The chicken was moist and well cooked. Perfection! Coleslaw: Was standard coleslaw, little heavy on the mayo, but well made. Sweet Potato Fries: These were cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of crisp. It appeared they were freshly cut and cooked. They do put cinnamon and sugar on them, which is a little different for me, but they were good. So, don't pour on the salt, like I almost did. Pulled Pork: The pork is smoked and moist. The smoky flavor was not strong, the BBQ sauce was good, but I think that is where most of the smoky flavor came from. It also appeared the pork had extra grease or pork fat added to it to keep it moist. I have had a lot of different smoked pork and this was on the average side. Nothing to try again. Cheesecake: Was big! You get a big portion, so leave room! It was cooked really well and the strawberries were perfect! Recommend!

So, with all of that being said. I only gave a 3 star because after I left and everything started to digest, I was very sick to my stomach all night (started 1 hour after I left). I hope this was not from the pork (this is my suspicion). I would eat here again, and try something else. The prices were reasonable. Good...

Me and my husband used to love going to Michaels the last two times. The service was horrible. The first time the waitress forgot about us but once we reminded her she became very polite and kept checking in on us and took care of us. The waitress yesterday totally ignored us. She took her order and then we never did see her. Finally, after about 15 minutes we contacted another server and she got our white dress to bring us our drinks and bread. The bread was cold. The other waitresses was back at their table several times and we never saw ours. Then I found her in the back room waiting on a table where we had to wait 15 minutes to get our drink and cold bread. That table got their drinks immediately and she kept going back and forth to them but never coming to us. I hate to say me and my husband will not go back there. We'll drive all the way to Athens so we know we get good service. My husband had to talk to the manager after that. The manager brought us her food and then the waitress came over and she wasn't very friendly at all. Then the the hostess brought us art check. The manager was very polite. Made sure we had everything we wanted and the hostess was very sweet and smiled. She was very good. There's a lot of good waitresses there but we always seem to get the one that don't take care of their table and this way Chris wasn't even new or else I would have gave her benefit of the doubt if she...

I will not be back. It is good when you do not have any competition in town. The only reason for 3 stars is because they have wonderful servers that are friendly and do a good job with their customers. But their food is way over priced, especially for the portions you get. Their brisket had 3 slices that werent much bigger than pieces of bacon. The sides are very small as well. All 3 of us left hungry and the bill was over $50. What did we get? Brisket plate, chicken tender plate and I cant remember what my other son got. 3 drinks and NO appetizer. I have gladly paid a TON more for meals that were worth it. The tea is very weak and watered down the last 2 times i have been there. Literally tastes like sugar water. The last time I was there i got a New York Strip that was a terrible cut of meat (was it really new York Strip)? That time our bill was over $90. One of the reasons is because of "premiums" charged on a childs plate due to it being Sunday. This pushed my daughters "children's" plate to over $11. Really? Want to make a fortune? Have someone start up a good restaurant in Etowah. But due to population and average age, we will not be that lucky. I hate leaving bad reviews but this place is...

This is a tale of two restaurants, two managers, one owner. While this staff, very much like the Athens location, is very capable and cordial in their service, that is where the line will be drawn. Food presented was appealing and inviting with a great smoky aroma. The cut of the prime rib was much better at the Athens location while the one here was half the thickness and mostly gristle around the outer edges. The smokey flavor was not through and through leaving some bites without the flavor. The steamed broccoli was cooked to perfection and the beans had a good spicy flavor throughout. Overall the atmosphere was excellent in spite of the waitresses congregating behind the counter talking about throwing up over a picture. The music was quietly playing in the background and was upbeat. Our waitress Heather did a clean job of keeping our drinks full with drink and ice and made sure we had all we needed. Our food came quickly and was preceded by a hot loaf of bread. I gave this experience a 4 star rating due to the poor choice in meat served. Otherwise it would have been a 5star rating.

Have been eating there every weekend, haven't found anything that we dislike! The ribs are the very best! The steaks are grilled and very tender and delicious..I tried the salad this weekend and again it was fabulous! The salmon was juicy and cooked perfectly, the potato buds, and bbq nachos are enough for a meal, the fried mushrooms are perfectly cooked with the horseradish dip.. love them. And the loaded cheese fries are so yummy. Everything we've tried is perfect and the portions are very generous. Prices are good.. large portions for $$ will be going back this weekend. I'll post more pics of our food.
