Mr. Doughnut — Restaurant in Eufaula

This was actually the first time I had ever been into this location or store but wanted to give it a try even after reading both positive and negative reviews. I wanted to be my own judge. On the outside the building looks perfectly fine upon walking in however it is so outdated it needs a good cleaning it just looks like it's dirty. I'm talking to the lady behind the counter and at first was fine, however getting the donuts I walk outside, get in my car, take one bite of a glazed donut and it is so stale so I thought well okay maybe that was not fresh so I tried a chocolate glaze, took one bite literally same deal, so I touched all of them to see they were all still into me they were still there was no no warmth to them like they were freshly made there was no sponginess softness nothing like that these were stiff and it just it just wasn't good, so I called and told her I was going to bring them back and I told her why and I made sure that she knew that it was nothing against her and she said I just explained that I wasn't satisfied,and she did not like that at all and was kind of upset which I get it but you know you don't take it out on the customer. Freshly baked Within 30 minutes was a completely false and looking in the donut case that faces the customers and there were like little fruit flies lying around there's a couple of moths in the bottom portion of the glass and it just shocked me, that it was so I'm just going to say it dirty I will never eat there again I won't even give them the benefit of the doubt because she was so rude and I was trying so hard just to be polite and I told her there was no reason to be upset that you know things like that happened it's nothing against her and she took it as a literal attack on her I'm sure and again I get it nobody wants to hear something negative but I can assure you they were not made within that 30 minutes but the thing that horrified me the most I think is upon her taking the box from me the two Donuts I had bitten into were close together and she took those two out and proceeded to put the other Donuts to the side so instead of throwing them away is she going to put them back in the case?, because she didn't want to waste them? This display case in question, that is disgusting and the health department needs to go out there and do a thorough check because I can't imagine why she would take those two out close the box and set it to the side that's just gross. We were in town visiting and stopped by after church. The 2 gentlemen working were so accommodating and made a custom sprinkle donut for one of my kids after they had sold out of sprinkle donuts for the day. Donuts and apple fritter were delicious.
