If you enjoy this Abby's location, stay with delivery to avoid having your enjoyment diminished. When we walked in, first thing we noticed was the salad bar looked like a tornado went through it. Salad and toppings all over the bar and floor, barely anything in the bowls. Over half the tables were in bad need of being bussed. I know it was Sunday game day, but seriously? There were still games on but the place was quiet, so no reason to have someone working on it. Of course, it COULDN'T have been either of the girls on the back line. They were "too busy" to even look up and acknowledge customers who were ready to order and get drinks. Fast forward a little bit... So, the first part of our order comes out... bread twists. With the bottoms burnt to a crisp! Do we not do a quality check anymore? I mean, they go from the cooking pan to paper-lined plate, so surely someone noticed. Was told "that's normal" while we were up for our spuds. Now for the spuds...the spuds themselves were good, but let's talk about the stupid Eugene ordinance (written by a 12 year old kid) about straws, flatware, and sauces. Ok, Abby's, first, your straw despenser was right on the counter, so using that argument was lame. Second, you gave us a BUCKET of marinara for 6 burnt bread twists, but 2 mini-packs of ketchup for an order of spuds??? For THREE PEOPLE??? REALLY??? Ok, now even if I get past that, the pizza itself... Ordered the advertised giant half and half (Hawaiian and pepperoni), original crust, light sauce. Were asked if we wanted plates when we picked up the pizza. My daughter said "Three, please." She was given two, by one of the girls from the back line (see earlier) with a haughty sigh like giving a family of 3 two plates was an over extension of her abilities. Got scorched crust, and the sauce was heavy and over powering, but at this point I was frustrated enough, we just dealt with it and left. So, the odds of me and my family ever returning to this location or getting delivery from them (since they're the closest to home) is slim to none. If I eat Abby's again, it'll be at a different store. Very disappointing.
UPDATE Did not realize my wife also wrote a review for our visit, although mine covers...
Read moreOrdered a giant pizza, large pizza, large spud, and bread sticks on-line for a 6:45 pick up. That allowed Abby’s 1.5 hours to get my order ready. I arrived at 6:42 and my order was not ready. I was told it just went in the oven and it would be done in 6 minutes. At 7:02 they had not called my name, so I went back to the counter to see if it was done. The cashier (Ocean) was stressed out because the crew was short handed, and she was LESS than friendly. She looked around and finally found my (2) pizzas and spuds, and said they would need to make the bread sticks. I’m told her to refund my debit card for the bread sticks as I wasn’t waiting any longer. Abby’s used to be the go to place when I was growing up in Roseburg. I worked for them as a teenager and there were times we were busy, but we rarely messed up an order and the staff was always friendly. Guess their business model has changed since then😕
Follow up to my previous review since Abby’s replied to it. Although I appreciate their reply, if they truly cared about customer service they would have looked up my order in their system by my name. My phone number is associated with my name in their system, so they could have called me to follow up on the poor service I received if they truly wanted to. Don’t let their “Lip Service” reply to my review fool you. It’s obvious they don’t care about customer service, and they only posted their reply to offset the poor review I left to warn others. I realize my $90 order is just a drop in the bucket of their business, but they have proved they no longer care about their customers and will not be receiving any future...
Read moreIt was my dad's birthday. He wanted to go there. We waited for our food for 1 1/2 hours. After an hour, we stood at the counter, repeatedly asking about it. Saw them give away our pizza twice to someone else.Once we asked about our pizza and they said it was ready and they showed it to us. Then he cut it up in front of me, and took it to put a box and we never saw that pizza again. The pizza disappeared, and he never handed it to me. Abt.10 minutes later I asked if I could have it and he said that it was just coming out of the oven. After waiting for another 10 minutes, he finally got it without so much as an apology, as we approached the counter to ask for a refund.... they finally tossed it to us. Then we ask about our chicken and potatoes. They looked confused, went to the back again and came back to the counter to say that they were just getting it ready. 10 minutes later we got the chicken. Don't know what the problem was tonight. We didn't get an explanation. It might have helped if we did. Don't wast your time...
