My first visit to Hey, Neighbor Pizza was a fantastic experience, even for a takeout order. From the moment I called, Grace's warm and audible smile set a welcoming tone. When I asked for a starter recommendation, she enthusiastically suggested the Tomato Bruschetta, a customer favorite, which I happily added to my son's pepperoni pizza order.

The restaurant's location is excellent. Arriving, I immediately noticed the ample outdoor seating and the inviting open garage-style door. The exterior was immaculate, with well-maintained shrubbery and plants, creating a very pleasant first impression. Inside, the cleanliness continued, and I was delighted to find myself surrounded by vibrant art from local artists, some of which was even for sale. The cheerful greetings from the smiling employees who were clearly enjoying chatting with customers made me feel incredibly welcome.

Once home, I couldn't wait to try the bruschetta, a dish I often enjoy elsewhere and make myself. It was truly exceptional: crafted on whole wheat levain with creamy ricotta sopraffina, flavorful tomato confit, fresh basil, a delightful balsamic glaze, and a perfect touch of salt. It paired wonderfully with my Silvan Ridge 2024 Sauvignon Blanc. Grace, your recommendation was absolutely spot on – I was incredibly impressed, thank you!

The pepperoni pizza was equally delicious. The crust was great with just the perfect amount of crunch outside and soft inside. It had just the right amount of crushed tomatoes, a perfect blend of mozzarella, and wonderfully flavorful pepperoni.

Overall, it was a delicious dinner for my son and me, and we will absolutely be back to Hey,...

Let's start with the main event - The Pizza. The first thing I noticed was the vibrant tomatoe taste (I had the crushed red, the Carnero to be exact). It has that fresh taste that feels garden picked - even though I'm sure they used canned sauce. They must get a good brand and salt it just right because it pops, simply and deliciously. The cheese was another standout. It tasted so very flavorful while not being excessive, just the right amount. The meats on the pizza tasted top shelf and the entire pie was well proportioned. It is a Neapolitan pizza completely but it also has a subtle American flair.

I also had the distinct joy of trying two other items of note. A resplendent cocktail and a rich and sweet dessert.

The cocktail I had the opportunity to try was the "Smoked Pineapple" which was refreshing, sweet and tart with a few other notes. It also felt very deliberate. Like the ingredients would walk over each other if a person didn't take care to be precise in it's creation. 9/10

Lastly I had the Nutella Calzone! Delicious Nutella wrapped in a airy deep fried tasting dough. Rich, and a perfect accoutrement to the end of a dinner, it's perfectly sized for two. The only downside is it would pair marvelously with a simple and well crafted scoop or two of vanilla ice cream and I didn't see that as an option, although I might have missed it.

I just moved to town, and this pizza is fire!!! Most definitely made with quality ingredients. Taste delicious. I got pepperoni pizza, a Ceasar salad, and a Pomegranate Paloma cocktail. They don't have chicken for the salad kind of a bummer, still bomb, tho. That cocktail was $10 worth spending, lol. I was pleasantly surprised by how strong it was but still tasty, I could only handle 1 (but you do you). I gave the service a low rating because I was told to sit anywhere, but then no one came with a menu or a hello, so I was just sitting there trying to fix my wobbly table. Then, when someone eventually came by, they assumed I was using the mobile menu to order and paying with the app, so that was the confusion. It also took a while at the end to get my check I was flagging this man down for a solid 10mins and so was the table in front of me we actually had a good laugh about it, but still lol notice us. It was a little busy, so I was chill, but 10 minutes!!! I was raising my hand like a 3rd grader, haha. Overall...
