Its a place where I would never buy comics from again. The person who I dealt with wanted to sell me a Silver Surfer (3rd series) comic book, that was in poor condition it looked like the cover had been affected by weathering there were ripples on the cover, he wanted three dollars and then on the cover of an X-Men comic book had a fold on the corner with some scratches so what does he do? He unfolds it and tells me problem solved and wanted three dollars for that issue too. And then he tells me that am being to critical I think I was trying to be avoided being ripped off of my hard earned money. BTW Go to Emerald City Comics they had ALL the comics, unlike Nostalgia which had only 12 comic books out of the 28 I was looking for plus the guy who worked there knew how to price the comics based on the condition of the comic $0.50 - $0.80 for poor condition or torn the other guy at Nostalgia Collectibles would of wanted three dollars for a comic of that same condition! A complete corporate hardliner who has lost touch with his potential customers. I told him I would take my business somewhere else and his attitude was " So does it look like I care? " They have great statues of comic related items, other collectible toys and such but to buy comic books there...Ummm no. Emerald City Comics is by far the best choice...

Went today, a Tuesday, at 3:30p. Hours posted still 10:30a-6p. The doors were locked with a handmade “Back Soon” sign on the door. I didn’t wait around to see when “soon” would be.
These are the only two times I’ve tried patronizing this store in the last year or two. The last time I actually went in (a couple years ago), the lone employee working behind the counter couldn’t bother to greet me, save for looking up at me from whatever he was engrossed in, and never once asked if I needed help finding anything, etc.
How sad this place has become since moving from the Smith Family Bookstore years ago.
For a better and always reliable comic buying experience in Eugene, go to Radar Toys or Books With Pictures. Their stores are easy to access, clean, well kept, and the staff at both are friendly and approachable, like they actually appreciate your business (even if you’re just browsing).
Nostalgia just doesn’t seem to...
Read moreI had not been to this store for many years and I was very disappointed with it. I enteted mid-afternoon and was never acknowledged of my existence. There was a gentleman working at the counter and he never even looked up. The best thing about the store was the quite large number of boxes. Many of them had a sign that said do not open. A small amount of them were located where one could peruse them, but the vast majority were stacked and not labeled so if one were trying to find a particular title...good luck! Judging by the stacks of comics lying around on counter tops, I'd say this place had no idea where anything was? Even if they knew where anything was, no one was there to help! I would suggest that, at the very least, they should try snd look like they cared about their customers and inventory! The place was quite messy and...
