Lupita's Tacos — Restaurant in Eugene

We visited after my bf's co-worker brought in a tasty looking quesadilla. He wanted to try their food. Ordered a tamales plate, lupitas taco w/ carnitas, chicken quesadilla and a side order of rice and beans. While we were waiting (in this TINY location, with one young employee that we saw), we heard a distinctive "ding". What the..? Was that a microwave we just heard? Then heard another "ding". .............. When our food was brought out a few minutes later, we both took bites of our food and looked up at each other. Yea, not a good thing. I was super disappointed to have bought all that food, then have it turn out so crummy. It was really bland (even the carnitas!) and even my 9 year old passed on eating his food. The tamales were super hot and dry on the outside, only thing making them edible was the green sauce that was ok. Worst carnitas I've probably ever tried. Zero flavor! The quesadilla might as well have been from Taco Bell. The side of beans were good texture but no had seasoning, bland again and the rice was way overcooked and dry-almost crunchy. (I was raised on good Mexican food, make carnitas and tamales at home & my bf is from Texas; he knows good Mexican food. Unfortunately, this is not...

...after a recent, accidental discovery, my life has been changed by a woman named Lupita...these tacos defy my grasp of the English language...their flavor, freshness, and beauty dominate the taco scene...from this point forward any taco not made by the hand of Lupita is no longer a taco to me...it is but a nutritional bandaid until I once again can set foot in this small piece of heaven on earth...

...these tacos have become a cornerstone of life...they have inspired certain people to eat other certain people’s share of said tacos with little to no shame...certain people have snuck off to secretly buy their own tacos and not share at all...and when these greedy taco deeds have been uncovered - forgiveness has been bought with more tacos...

...I have personally witnessed the documented two pound weight gain due specifically to the discovery of this taco oasis...I found myself just yesterday standing in my garage staring at a bicycle I have not rode in two years, wondering how many tacos it was worth if I sold it...

...to say that I recommend Lupitas Tacos would be an understatement...instead I would simply state that you owe it to yourself and anyone you...

First time visit mostly because of the reviews. What a disappointment both in terms of service as well as food. Ordered street tacos, taco salad with a beer and water. Male at the counter promised to bring the beer immediately along with chips and salsa Several groups both in front and in back of us received their orders. No beer or chips and salsa Order finally came. No napkins, beer or chips and salsa. Asked the lady who delivered the food for all three. After several minutes, walked up to counter and asked for all three. Napkins were given with promises to immediately bring out the other two. Several minutes later, late brings out salsa with no chips and no beer. Asked for third time and after several more minutes beer delivered. Never got the chips. Tacos were cold, dry and tasteless. Restaurant was not busy entire time. First...
