My kid and his friends really love Defy. I can take them here and let them run. They can get out their copious amounts of physical energy before it explodes in my house. Right now Defy has a summer pass for 90 minutes a day. The pass is under $80 and I will be picking one up. The passes are available on Defy's website, as are the waivers all participants must sign. You can also sign the waivers in the lobby. For your shoes and other items free numbered lockers are available. Don't forget you locker number and code, but if you do, the staff can unlock. I do Birthday parties here. While it is expensive, $$$, they make it really easy. If there isn't a party before, you can get the room early, otherwise the kids have to jump before you get the room. You get a host with the party room, and they order pizzas and soda for you. You just need to bring snacks and the cake. They even have the walls painted with happy birthday. I took off one star because there was confusion over the start time. I thought I got the room at the start time but it was occupied and we had to wait to jump. The email had the arrival time a half hr earlier than what it actually was. Also the invitations you can print from Defy's website are not for printing because it has so much black space and color blocks. It's too saturated to print on a color printer without wasting a bunch of ink/ribbon.

The space is super cool, and the murals are well done. Unfortunately even during the summer they have 4 different schedules throughout the week which makes it very easy to confuse times and have to spend a couple hours waiting in the parking lot when you show up at 10am on a Wednesday (they open at noon). Be prepared to be swarmed by children and parents alike who have no manners, nor an interest doing things the way they were intended šŸ˜‰ They do birthday parties and night jumps with blacklights and fog machines, which is pretty cool, but I've not had that opportunity yet. Their TVs only show ESPN with no subtitles or volume for the delinquent daddies who don't want to watch or play with their kids šŸ¤” . Maybe some ninja warrior would be a good option since it needs no words and isn't just old guys yelling at tvs and each other šŸ˜† They have massage chairs available for an extra fee, but I've not tried them or seen anyone else use them. They also use what they "think" are old videos when jump shoes were allowed, to demonstrate techniques that would be much easier with shoes, but they "don't think they are allowed anymore," which isn't really a clear yes or no. Lockers are offered free of charge, so your items are nice and safe. If you are an adult, make sure to crush some kids at Dodge Ball, they love teaming up against you, and it's a blast.

When I was working in youth ministry, the most popular destination amongst middle school students was Defy!.I’ve brought both small groups of 2-4 students and massive groups of nearly 200 students to Defy, and they always have a great time. There is so much to do at Defy. Whether you just want to jump on a standard trampoline, climb up a wall on the super trampoline, play dodgeball on trampolines, attempt the ninja course, fall onto a huge air mat, jump off an angled trampoline into a foam pit, ride a zipline… list continues. Defy has enough to do to keep you busy for at least an hour and a half. It has the added benefit of being a great workout, and a great way to burn excess energy! On top of all that, the staff here are great. It’s easy to tell that the general manager cares about what he does, and he’s a great guy to talk to as well. I’ve had good conversations with several other members of their team as well, and they’re great people. I have had nothing but great experiences with Defy staff since they opened. I cannot recommend Defy enough! If you have kids that like to run around and have fun, bring them here. If you don’t… come anyway, because honestly this place is a ton of fun for me personally too despite my not usually caring much for that sort of thing.

We enjoyed our time at Defy for our son's 8th birthday. Totally appropriate. We had many friends and family with us. We all wore our masks and they added extra tables and table settings to space people out a little more than typical. Amanda was our hostess and she was fantastic and asked great questions to show great care. Here's a few considerations I would love them to take out of my own experience... A) Have special parking spaces available and cameras on those spaces to be aboe to have someone with the roller cart to greet at the lot. B) Have that same person check them in as it was a few minutes of standing to be acknowledged. C) Have super attentive Floor Leads to observe safety protocols (2 kids got hurt and weren't initially acknowledged and one walked stubble right by the lead and had to be told she was obviously hurt). D) Have pepsi products instead of Coke, Eugene is a pepsi town. E) Offer the final receipt to the parent at the end of the party with a space to leave a tip and clearly state how the tip structure works. For example, I am unsure if I under tipped, because I tipped to only Amanda, however afterwards I got to thinking, maybe she had to share the tips with her team, now I feel bad, because I want her to have the amt I designated. But she did walk us out to our vehicle with our items and that was truly wonderful. Overall they were great! I highly suggest having your party at Defy. I'm just a mom who used to work in this business with ideas for feedback. Thanks Defy for making my...
