As a local to the area, it’s hard to know where to rate this. In Eugene, sometimes you expect subpar and or laughable service because you know the food will make up for it. But coming in here, seeing trophies and readers choice awards, this place has to be humbled. The server was friendly, but extremely unprofessional. He was clearly high, which like I said, it’s Eugene so not a huge deal. But he was wearing glittery slippers that he was just sliding around in like we were in his living room. He had very mumbled speech which couldn’t be understood, and accidentally gave us too many drinks that he then proceeded to take them back while also forgetting what food to give us. Chaos man, chaos. My sandwich was good, I got the Brisket. Flavorful, soft, and the BBQ sauce was delicious. But the Mac & Cheese and the bottled water shared something in common. They both came from Winco. I paid almost $20, come on now. I’m going to give Tony the benefit of the doubt because of the Pandemic. But if you want trophies for BBQ that couldn’t come within two states of Texas BBQ, hire some better staff and get some better ingredients.

This was honestly the most disappointing BBQ I have ever had. For starters the tray of food here plus a side of mac n cheese, and a bottle of SHASTA cola was 65 dollars. I absolutely love barbecue food, and have wanted to try this place forever because I used to drive by on my way to work every day. My fiancé and I took a few bites of each, and honestly can't eat it because it tastes so bad. The pulled pork was so compacted and squished it looked like something mashed. The brisket was so badly overcooked it was very chewy. The rib tips tasted so heavily of liquid smoke I spit it out. I have never done that before. The spare ribs and chicken were mediocre at best. The Mac n cheese was bland and very boring. Also, Shasta? If I wanted Shasta I would go to the dollar store. The only thing worth eating from this place was the chicken nuggets from the kids meal we ordered for our daughter. This was such an expensive unfortunate experience. I wish I could say I would go back, but at this point in time I don't see either of us going back ever again. Such a shame.

I dont undsrstand why this place is rated as $$ for price. Was at the weed store and they were close. Imagine being stoned and NOT liking bbq. Oughtta cal it Tony's Microwave. I got the smoked pastrami and french fries for $16. The french fries were GREEN, undercooked, and SOGGY. The sandwich is tiny as F. The hoagie is OBVIOUSLY Franz brand, and probably from the outlet on River Road. I'd swear the pastrami is from WinCo. This is not a $16 meal. THEIR COMBOS ARE A BAG OF CHIPS AND A CAN OF SODA. This place may have been great in the past, but the owner really seems to be passing his costs on to the customer with a fierce prejudice. I say kill the business and start selling the sauce. The sauce is the only decent part of this trash. If you ever want to know why this place goes out of business, don't blame anyone or anything but poor management.

This wasn't for me, but it might work for some people. Sandwiches don't come with fries, you need to order them separately ($3) and you get brown, limp, unsalted fry-shaped potato. This might not be a problem if there was salt, pepper or ketchup on the table (there isn't), but they give you a little bit of something i think is "fry sauce", which was WAY too sweet for me. Like brown sugar & honey (on fries?)

If you want water with your meal, you are out of luck unless you buy a bottle of it.

I ordered the hot link sandwich, she asked "spicy or mild?" I opted for spicy. What i got was a tiny bit spicy and a whole lotta sweet. Like hot dogs soaked in sugar. Not that appetizing for my taste buds.

Maybe this is what Texas BBQ is? I guess all the best BBQ I can think of has been Louisiana-inspired.

If i ever return it would be specifically to try their peach cobbler or deep-fried twinkies, not...
