Poor, poor customer service. I stopped at this Sonic twice in three days.
The first time was to grab a quick meal. I ordered a No 1 with a Cherry Limeaid. “Light on the ice please” I requested. So what did I get, a cup full of ice with just a few sips of drink. Everyone knows what I’m taking about. That’s why I asked for light on the ice.
My mistake was going back today. The Sonic in Athens was just a few miles out of our way and my 11yo son earned/needed a treat. He wanted a Root Beer Blender (a blended root beer float). It’s a drink that is on and off the menu, but has always been available when I’ve requested it at other Sonics.
You guessed it, “we don’t do that anymore.” When I asked why not, I was told “we just don’t” by the same guy at the register as two days earlier.
That’s fine, they can run their business however they want. But for a business that advertises the number of drink options they have, that’s one less.
So we ordered a chocolate shake. When getting in the car, the poorly placed lid popped off and the cup collapsed.
What I wasn’t wearing, landed all over my car and eventually into the parking lot. I went in to clean up and share my experience with the manager. All she could offer was to nod her head as I expressed my disappointment in their customer service.

Read moreStood around and wait to be waited on for about 5 minutes until the drive through employee Lizzie seen me standing there and asked if I've been helped and I replied "no". She said "i will be right with you". After she finished up with the customer at the drive through she profusely apologized for not being helped sooner. I told her it was ok, and i understand. I noticed the cooks were in the back goofing off with the front counter employee. That young lady was disrespectful and acted like I was interrupting her lunch break. She tossed/slid my milkshake towards me then hollered out my order number and then went and hid in the kitchen area to play on her phone. Poor Lizzie was working both tills like a champ. She definitely gets a 5 star review but the other employees ruined the overall 5 star review that I would have left. Lizzie and the store overall deserve a 5 star review but the cooks plus the other "waitress"...
