Visit Date: 5/31/2025 - We purchased half dozen bagels. I recognized the name traveling through Clermont. I asked them if it was the same owner and Anthony Arcieri (partner) said they are in business together. Based on that response we went and purchased a half dozen of bagels to bring home and have for breakfast. The bagels looked delicious, but they appeared very crusty on the outside. They were crusty on the outside and semi soft inside. We stored them in the original bag sealed. The next morning they were hard as a rock. Not at all what I was expecting for bagels costing $12. I returned to the store the next morning and advised the young employee of my experience. He suggested that I should have placed them in the refrigerator. The employee requested his supervisor to come out and speak to me. I was greeted by Anthony Arcieri, partner with Bagel Bros Cafe. I explained my situation. He did not offer to look inside the bag to examine the other 4 bagels. He reminded me their bagels are a New Jersey style bagel, crusty on the exterior and soft inside. This was far from our experience and even the day before when we bought them. My husband being from Jersey disagreed with their bagels being a New Jersey style bagel. Mr. Arcieri said I could dispose of the bag in the trash and he offered to refund my money. I did have the receipt in my hand. I really appreciate Mr. Arcieri refunding my money, but I wanted so much to like the product. While I was waiting for Mr. Arcieri I did watch others come into the restaurant and order egg bagel sandwiches etc. The bagel sandwiches smelled good and looked pleasing to the eye. As I thanked Mr. Arcieri I told him I would be happy to give their store another chance at another time. While this visit was not what I had expected, I hope you will at least give them a chance. Mr. Anthony Arcieri treated me respectfully and that goes a long way.
They also have a dessert case. I am not sure if the desserts are made in house or not, but they looked very good. I was debating on getting a slice of cake, but decided against it...
Read moreAs a personal rule, we always go easy on new places. Any operation takes a little time to get things right and iron out all of the kinks. It’s only been open for 4 weeks so everything I say comes with a grain of salt and I’ll revise in the future.
We stopped in for a weekday lunch. It’s a small space, 4 or 5 tables. Redecorated and changed since it was Cravin Chicken.
Staff was friendly and very polite. Seems like great folks.
We ordered two sandwiches and both came out with something on them that we’d asked to not be included. Cheese on mine and mayo on the wife’s. Not a huge deal but it points to a need to tighten up communication between the point of sale and the staff.
I had a pesto panini. It was great toothy bread and had a generous portion of chicken. To be a “pesto” sandwich it probably needed double the amount of pesto so the flavor would come through more. I got the macaroni salad side with it. I’m not much for sweet foods, and it was very sweet. Your preferences may differ.
She had a ham sub. It was pretty ok. The bread was adequate but didn’t have that chewy tear it apart texture that makes a great sub to us. Bear in mind that’s a personal preference and if you ask 10 people about sub bread preferences you’ll probably get 7 different answers.
Prices were a bit stiff. About $15 for a basic ham sub seems a bit high.
My vote is it’s a subjective experience depending on your personal tastes and you may love it. Give it a try. We’ll check back and update later after they’ve had time to get past opening...
Read moreWe came to Bagel Bros for lunch, despite the noticeable parking lot congestion everytime we drive by. Luckily, we got the last spot immediately as we pulled in.
Unfortunately, I didn't feel like a bagel or bagel sandwich. But, before we came I noticed that there were other lunch options available. So, I went outside the expected box and tried a cheeseburger. And, I regret it immensely. I should have a bagel at a bagel shop. Those looks good, and my husband enjoyed his lox - cream cheese - capers bagel a lot. But...the cheeseburger was just awful. I rarely refuse to eat what I'm given but after a few bites I was done.
First opinions, the bun looked fluffy and the patty looked pretty thick. I was thinking that this could be okay after all. But no, the frozen and then cooked patty had absolutely no seasoning on it and zero condiments. No ketchup, no mayo. Nothing. Just dryness. I'm thinking maybe the patty was cooked in a toaster oven? Idk I couldn't eat it. And we left shortly after to get something else for me to eat.
Moving on, the menu says it comes with fries but alas no fries. Only chips and pasta salads were available. So I opted for chips. Wouldn't you know that literally all of the chips minus the plain lays were expired.
Man. A total disappointment for that hamburger meal. Never again.
Positive side: get a bagel at a bagel store. If this was a drive thru location, I think I would return often for just a bagel with some cream cheese... those...
