Very long wait, woman didnât seem concerned. Finally got to me and was pretty short tempered, considering her role. Seemed like she was irritated that she had a customer who wanted to order. I got a small drip coffee and a muffin. The muffin was delicious, but the coffee was so piping hot, I thought I was going to burn myself through the cup⌠they were out of sleeves, which they did not tell me before serving me the obscenely hot coffee. Because it is so hot, I have yet to try it, but given my experience so far, and the fact that I went in there to buy beans, and they do not sell them⌠I donât have high hopes for it to be good quality. My muffin cost significantly more than the coffee, which is a little unusual, I thought⌠although I guess I can say one positive is that the drip coffee is a good price point.    Read moreThis coffee joint is hands down my favorite spot in the area. It's got that perfect laid-back vibe that makes it easy to relax and get some work done. Whether you're catching up on emails or just taking a break, itâs the kind of place where you can settle in without feeling rushed.
The coffee here is top-notch, no question. Every cup is consistently great, and theyâve nailed the balance between bold and smooth. The lattes come with impressive art, which shows they take pride in their craft, but itâs the quality of the brew that really stands out.
The baristas are always professional and friendly, they donât just make your drink, they genuinely care about the experience. Itâs a solid place where you get the combination of great coffee and a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Read moreI can understand they don't operate on Sundays, but I really wish they did. The pour overs are delicious and done just right. I asked about the water temperature, and the staff gave an exact number both for brewing and when served (I was told about 201 degrees). There are always Northwestern students set up with computers or assignments and working quietly/diligently. The place has seating for about 50, so even if you don't want to share a table with a student, there are a few counter and two-top seats. They have some baked goods in a display case. Nothing gf that I could see, but all looked tasty. Beans are sold whole in vacuum packed bags at a range of prices, up to about $20 (for the highly coveted Indonesian bean that I prefer). Definitely stop here if you really need that...
