Old school hot dog hang-out. I grew up going to places like this In the suburbs, and I'm glad they are still relatively close together, even in the surrounding Chicago area. I can't believe people don't do the double-dog thing more often, Twice the meat and only a slightly elevated price. Felt like I got more Bang for my buck. Plus, the service was wicked fast and they are already putting out pumpkins for the fall holidays. It's 25 yd off the purple line and I was in and out in 25 minutes... Nice symmetry to it. I hear good things about the philly cheesesteak sandwich, will need to check that out. Going strong for 50 years And a good chunk of the history is displayed on the walls. I will definitely be back.😎

Awesome little spot tucked away in Evanston. Italian beef and burgers were pretty darn good and reasonably priced. Anytime a joint like this has beer and wine, it’s always a bonus. It is likely to be a good spot for students nearby.

I've been here numerous times I started out just getting the pizza puff and fries. I understand cooking everything fresh but when I order fast food I expect it to be fast not 20 minutes for an order of fries... Anywho I decided to try something different they have a "maxwell st polish" definitely not maxwell style next I tried the Italian beef... Another no no!! Lastly I ordered the Grecian chicken and OMG!!! The absolute worst!!!! It wasn't Grecian it was over cooked, dried up, unseasoned baked chicken that they had just threw inside the to go plate!!! It was supposed to be a half chicken but it was a leg and half breast... I should've stayed getting pizza puff with fries but I...

The food was not that cheap, had double cheeseburger and fries and drink a combo meal and it was just ok. The cost was almost fifteen dollars. The sandwiches don't come with anything all a la cart, you have to add or do a combo for extra. Fries tasted the best, my husband had a polish and was not thrilled said it was not that good. On the flip side my daughter had a Philly chicken and enjoyed her food. This is why they recieved three stars not two. My conclusion me and my husband were not impressed, however my daughter's food was a win for her. So its a matter of what you get or your own taste buds. Will not go here again so I ...
