Hartigan's Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Evanston Township

The ice cream is great in general just not so much the employees. I went in there to get some ice cream with my friend and the girl at the counter was rude. Yes, i get there was 25 minutes until they closed but she was rushing us to pick what we wanted when we were still checking out flavors. When I said we're not ready yet she said under her breath "seriously?" Like she can't expect us to know what to get when we JUST walked in there. If she doesn't like her job she should just quit because they're going to lose business fast with her disrespectful retorts. This was my second time ever going there and the first time was nice. I just hope the manager talks to this girl and gives her an attitude adjustment or fires her because that is no way you speak...

I will start by saying I normally love hartigans. However tonight I had a terrible experience. I watched an employee spray windex directly on glass above all the ice cream possibly contaminating it. I tried to politely adress it with the manager when the clearly irresponsible teenage employee started an argument about it. This employee always seem like she hates her job and has a bad attidude. Beside the glass cleaning issue the manager allowed his employees to loudly play thier personal music throughout the store. The music they chose was filled with profanities suck as the N word. Hartigans did not live up to their standard as a family friendly ice cream...

I'm a friend of a 91yo woman who's never had a birthday party (!). I chose Hartigans, sight unseen or tested because of reviews. Got a vm from my friend that the ice cream cakes were "beautiful and delicious." Quite a compliment from my normally reticent friend! Special tks to Mrs Hartigan for making this happen since most of us "oldsters" don't drive anymore. And my lpersonal tks to staff at the ice cream shop(pe), from Torie (sp?) to Ron and Julius...you know a place is great 👍 when you 👍hear giggling in the...
