Paragon — Restaurant in Evanston Township

We craved some Thai food, and decided to try Siam Paragon. We ordered a few appetizers,. Tom Ka soup and a few Curries and the stapled Pad Tai. I have to admit, that when I see on the menu more than the main cuisine I am always question how good can it really be. In Paragon Siam case, they have an interesting mixture of Thai, Japanese and Chinese. From the menu they are all seem good.

Food came on time, even early which was good as we were 5 starving people ;-) All portions were very well prepared with overall proper balance of spicenes, heat (pepper use wise...), coconut milk in the sauce and the amount of food per item. Overall, price was right, great experience and a tasty meal, we look forward to trying more dishes. My initial concern about the multiple cuisines was alleviated with the tasty food, and proper balance...

Recently had dinner at Paragon on Main street in Evanston. Our last time eating there was probably 15-20 years ago! It was a little later on a summer Saturday evening so the restaurant was a little quieter. We were seated in a comfortable booth and ordered a couple of dishes. Papaya salad (Som Tum) which was outstanding piled high and super fresh. Asked for it medium but it came not very spicy. Offered additional thai chiles which we sprinkled on and that did the trick. Perfect spice level and flavor. Ordered MooShu pork which came already pancake wrapped (3) which seemed a bit odd....but was flavorful and very generous w/the protein. Also got a curry dish w/thai eggplant, peanuts & potato and our protein was tofu which was very tasty. Generous portion w/rice. Service was efficient and very good value. Would definitely go back to try...

Funny how a bad review will kick a business into gear. They now answer the phone with the business name. Their cc handler apparently knows how to process card orders.. who knew. The food still wonderful, drinks very good. Impossible to get a bad meal. They have freshed the resturant. Hands down one of the best Thai and sushi showing in town.

FRAUD, DOUBLE CHARGE LARGE ORDERS. BEWARE The food is GREAT, in resturant service is GREAT. THEY LITERALLY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO ANSWER A TELEPHONE. THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF ANSWERING THE PHONE WITH THE BUSINESS NAME. Most people wouldn't place an order when a COMPANY ANSWERS THE PHONE .. HELLO.. HELLO. Not sure why they don't understand this. So I won't order for delivery cause I'm NEVER GONNA GiVE MY CREDIT CARD TO SOME RANDOM PERSON ON THE PHONE, who doesn't know how to answer. Great food the worst...
