I'm a very understanding person, to a point. I never leave these reviews, but felt compelled to share my experience. This has been a favorite of my husband and myself for over a decade. So it saddens me to add this low of a review. Today being Christmas, I expected it to be busy. When I called our order in at 5:48 pm, and was told 60 - 65 minutes, that seemed more than fair. Once we got a little past the 1 hour mark, I called to check on it. They verified my address and said the delivery driver had just left. We only live about 15 minutes away, so I understood. Then we reached the 2 hour mark, and so I had my husband call to check on it. He said that he heard some shuffling of papers, as though they were looking for our ticket. The man told him the driver was out and to please give them just a few more minutes. About 5 minutes after this, my phone rings. It's China King. They said that they are out of sweet and sour chicken, would we like to substitute it for general tso? We said sure, and the lady that I spoke with said they would be starting on that now. At 8:42, we finally received our food. Going on 3 hours, and it continues to go downhill. My husband received what looked like a different meat that had been deep fried to have the same appearance as sweet and sour chicken. It came with the usual sweet & sour sauce, too. My order was also wrong. I ordered a chicken dish and received shrimp instead. Some of the shrimp had not been de-veined, while others still had bits of the tail still attached. My husband took some Pepto bismol before going to bed, saying that his stomach was really bothering him. Less than an hour after that, he was in the bathroom puking. So far, he has been up 4x tonight. I got up and had diarrhea, then realized it was going to come up too. Moral of the story - don't go to your favorite takeout spot on a major holiday; and if they don't have what you ordered literally hours ago, you are better off eating a bowl of...
Read moreI recently ordered from this Chinese restaurant and had a frustrating experience from start to finish. I called ahead and asked for something to be removed from my order, but the man on the phone acted like he couldn’t understand what I was saying. Strangely, when I got there in person, he suddenly had no problem understanding and quickly removed it—so it felt like he just didn’t want to deal with me over the phone. The whole vibe was rude, dismissive, and rushed like I was bothering them just by placing an order.
And I’m not trying to sound disrespectful or racist in any way, but communication is key—especially when you’re running a business in America. If you can’t understand your customers or make the effort to, then maybe that line of work—or even living here long-term—might not be the right fit. On top of all that, the food was cold, bland, and lacked any real flavor. It was a big letdown. Between the service and the quality, I won’t be going back. There are too many other spots that...
Read moreOrdered spicy garlic beef pork egg rolls an crab rangoons. How hard is that? I got spring rolls instead, beef n mushrooms (allergic) luckily I can just pick them out! Loaded with rough chop green peppers (undercooked). Luckily I can pick those out too.. yea sure why not it's not like they forgot the fork or chop sticks (which they did). Crab rangoons were just so sweet there was no flavor just sugary which is odd and off. The beef an sauce was tender an flavor (hint the 1 star) rice was as expected.. the pork rolls or spring rolls whatever they were just full of shredded cabbage had to be torn up an mixed with good to mask it's blandness. Delivery guy couldn't even bring food to back door (as I specifically requested in my order!) which turned into us going to opposite doors an he had the nerve to catch an attitude about it!worst 20$ spent I award u no points an God have mercy...
