I went here twice with family and friends. This is my honest and sincere review/feedback, I hope that they would consider improving the quality of their food. First time we were there, it was Friday 3/14/2025 for dinner/iftar. I was excited to try new Italian restaurant that served halal options and we were surprised how small the restaurant was. This place is more suitable for to-go and delivery only, not ideal for dine in. The dining space was so small, I think they could've rearranged the tables differently than looking crampy. They don't offer water, you have to pay for bottles or might as well bring your own drinks as there are not much drink options either. The halal pizza was great the first time, at least we enjoyed it.
Second time we were there was Saturday 4/19/2025 for lunch, again, we arrived as a big group which we were seated at a long table. Then another family came to dine in, the employee there did not properly rearrange the tables so the other table was so close to us that our chairs and theirs was practically touching each other. There are other space in the restaurant but the space was not properly utilize. This time we ordered a few pizza and pasta. The pizza's ingredients was so heavy that the pizza itself was not cooked thoroughly that the veggies was practically raw. As you lift up a slice to eat, all the pizza ingredients practically slides off the slice. The pasta, unfortunately was a letdown for us because the sauce was so diluted/watery which it is like cooked from a can or just not properly cooked which make it that there's nothing special about the pasta that I would order it again. The pasta red sauce flavor was so bland. One pasta was supposed to be a baked spaghetti but it looks like they melted the cheese and just dump it on top of the pasta. We even asked if we could have a few cups of hot water which they did at least serve that the first time we were there but this time, they forgot our hot water until we finish our meal.
After our experience this second time, we decided not to go eat there again. It was such a let down as it would be nice to support more halal restaurant. I really think they have a potential to improve the quality...
Read moreUpdate: The bar for my standards was basically touching the floor, and they have somehow managed to play limbo under it.
I ordered 1 large gluten free pizza, and 1 medium regular pizza. Placing this order by phone took 9 minutes because they could not work their own system.
After waiting over 90 minutes for my delivery, because they got my address wrong despite having it on file AND repeating it back, I got 2 regular pizzas, but was charged for 2 gluten free pizzas. After this, they argued with me both about my order and how it was actually correct.
And they still charged me for both pizzas even after I explained how my order was wrong. And the remake they gave me? Was also wrong.
They charge an additional 3.65 for gluten free large, when the highest I have ever seen was 3 dollars. And that's just for the normal ones. The custom gluten free pizzas have a surcharge of 7.65 online.
I'm not even mad anymore. Really, what I feel is closer to mourning because the new management has managed to turn this resturant into a crudely animated corpse of its former self. -2/5 stars.
Original review: Don't bother going here anymore. I've been going to Culachinos since they were called Amantes. Went here at least once every two weeks.
However, recently, they seem to have changed management: all the staff have changed over and it is NOT the same. They used to have large gluten free pizzas, now they only do medium (for almost the same price as a large). Keep in mind, the area of a circle Decreases far faster than the radius so a medium pizza is half the area of a large.
On top of that, their service has gone down HEAVILY. It took them FOUR MINITES to figure out how to ring up a single pizza. And this has happened numerous times.
The food is still good, or at least with a minimal loss to quality, but the prices have gone up heavily and what you get has...
Read moreWe had dinner at Culaccino for the first time tonight. It is a gem of a place. The Culaccino Rolls were awesome and a much better version of the typical bread stick with just the right amount of melted cheese and fun to unwind the roll and dip into the marinara sauce before a bite. The Greek Salad was refreshing with fresh crisp lettuce chopped to order, super fresh ingredients, nice tasty feta, and a very nice dressing. Then came the Calzone. It hit the spot. The size was very generous. The bread thickness was just right and perfectly baked, the toppings/stuffings were generous and very tasty, and the closure rim was cheesy and very tasty, specially when dipped in the marinara sauce or the salad dressing. We then finished with the excellent Tiramisu. We cannot wait to return and try all their other menu items. The selection of pizzas and pastas are excellent. The place was cozy and super clean with upbeat decorations resembling Italy. The bathroom was also super clean. The staff were very friendly, polite, and super attentive. We found the prices super reasonable given the high quality of the food and service. We highly recommend this place and most definitely will be making Culaccino a frequent stop for us. Final note; while we were there many people stopped by for take out or delivery - the staff was super friendly and attentive to them - so clearly this is a...
