McMenamins Mill Creek — Restaurant in Mill Creek

I never write negative reviews as I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years but I feel as though this needed to be said. My fiance and I went in for lunch this afternoon. We sat for nearly 10 minutes waiting to be greeted and then another lengthy amount of time to receive our iced teas and our waters we asked for were never brought to us. We could tell it was busy so we put our order in right away, both cold menu items so they should not take too long. After 40 minutes we realized that two other tables who sat down well after us had received their food, I asked the waitress about our food who made up an excuse about the kitchen being backed up (again very understandable but doesn't explain how two other tables who came in after us received their hot food well before we did). Some time later we finally received our food which tasted great, as usual. Not once did our waitress come back to check on how we were enjoying our meal or to replenish our drinks. We were told that for our troubles we could order a dessert, which she never offered a dessert menu or brought it up again. We had been done with our meals for a least 10-15 minutes with our plates stacked before she noticed we were finished and ready for our bill. After receiving the bill and never being asked about dessert again she charged us for the full meal without any discounts for the inconveniences, at the very least our iced teas could have been taken off which costs literally nothing for them but can make a difference. It is a shame that I will never return to this location since I have always loved McMenamins but the service is continuously horrendous at...

Leaving this for management after 3 visits over a course of around 6 months. If you come here, please treat the wait staff kindly. You can tell management is not doing their job as leaders or really disrespectful to staff. We live right next to this location and mcmenamins was our first date so we tend to go sometimes as a nostalgic treat. We loved the building itself and they have a gorgeous outdoor seating. However, the last three visits have been bad and this time around they just comped our food and gave us a gift card. Our server looked miserable but was patient and kind. The previous two were very rude and one left us alone for about an hour and 20 with no drinks while we waited for food. I had to approach someone at the bar to ask for a water. The entrees were poorly made the second visit, and this time around was the worst. Both our burgers were burnt, buns burnt, no cheese or sauce on mine, and our tots had been cooked so long they were completely dried out and nearly burnt. The server told us she'd talk to the manager who didn't come out at all, just comped the meal and gave us a gift card. My dad was GM for a long time and never would have let a customer go like that without hearing them out. The server told us she was putting in her two weeks when we apologized for the way other customers were treating her due to the poor food service. There food is incredible. BUT I am rating them a 1 because of their customer service/hospitality. A good friend of mine, decided to try this spot out, because I kept insisting she should. My friend who has been in a wheelchair for a very long time now, went in her mobilized scooter with her brother (who is also in a scooter/wheelchair) and they were asked to find a seat for themselves. This place is not wheelchair friendly. They could not find a spot to sit in, mind you they have to find a spot for their whole mobilized wheelchair. They finally found a table, and this table in particular of course had a bunch of chairs around it, when the waiter saw where they sat, SHE DIDN'T BOTHER TO HELP MY FRIEND OR HER BROTHER MOVE THE CHAIRS!!! These are people in wheelchairs and you decided to leave menus, and let them move 6 chairs all on their own??? WOW. A customer from another table saw my friend and her brother struggling and helped them move a couple chairs, but no one at this place who actually worked there even bothered. SO DISGUSTING of them!!!! So my friend told me the food was incredible, but she sobbed while telling me her awful experience at this place. She will not be returning here, and neither will I.
