2024 Come and see Paula. She will make sure you have the best dinner and dining experience.
I had the 808 plate again and it was absolutely fantastic. Once again, the macaroni salad which I usually don't like is gone and the Asian green salad was delicious. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, it tasted great with the sweet chili sauce and I just adored the ribs. The pork ribs were very meaty and so tender falling off the bone. My companion really remarked how soft the ribs were , easy to chew.
For desserts we got the ube bilo bilo, which is a delicious purple root in a like a sweet tapioca creamy sauce. Absolutely wonderful.
We also got the Mandan buko desert, which is young coconut with gelatin cubes and coconut milk and pandan leaves to give it a wonderful, sweet green color. They're like Lily leaves only delicious.
And then we got the coconut macaroons as well and everything was just utterly delicious. Oh and I forgot.
We also got Chicken Mami, which is like top ramen and it had plenty of chicken in it. Plus , hard boiled egg and a nice star anise for a Very slight licorice hint. it was a real treat to eat.
We were all pleased, full and satisfied and grinning from ear to ear. We will be back. Our party has all lived in the Philippines and we appreciate really good home cooking, although it does have more of a Hawaiian slant to it than straight Filipino.
2023 DESTINATION RESTAURANT. GOTTA COME.
this is the first time that I've been here and I love the decor. I have lived in the Philippines for almost a decade and I love the good food but Frederick, he's just so warm and welcoming here and I'm really looking forward to the 808 mixplate with all the ribs in the lumpia but right now we're just sitting in just a really well appointed and beautiful little space. great music, gently playing in the background
you got to stop here. this is a real treat for the soul. Watch TV videos of soothing pictures and great music. Wonderful ambiance.
Wow! Speedy, hot, crispy food. Came quickly and fresh. Various condiments at service station. Liz plated it beautifully. Value for the money.
Homemade macaroni salad is best I have had. Not usually a fan, but this is tasty.
Big Island vibe, we listened to reggae, Asian. Hawaiian, and Polynesian music.
The lumpia and meaty ribs reminded me of Filipino inihaw BBQ, the Mac salad and spam of Hawaiianemories, and greensalad had Asian sesame oil flavor.
I have had a lot of Hawaiian shaved ice, Viet bubble tea and Filipino Halo Halo. FANTASTIC, BEST EVER Halo Halo. Mine started with cinnamon sprinkle ice cream sitting on frosted flakes and marshmallows. That went to husband, who is more conservative. I then delved down to shaved ice in cream with crutches frosted corn flakes, and tapioca balls and mango.
WAY ABOVE AVERAGE, THIS IS AWESOME FOOD. Frederick and Liz are great to meet. Come on and meet them. Worth the drive from anywhere (we live by Canadian border, Mt Baker), but Uber eats came in a couple times for food delivery.

Read moreI really wanted to like this place… and reflecting on it I’m not sure if this would be a place I would automatically think of to go back if I was feeling Hawaiian or Filipino cuisine.
Parking: Small shared parking lot with other retail Pet friendly: No Family friendly: Yes
FOOD: Crispy Sizzling Sisig (Crispy pork belly coated with our special sauce served on a sizzling plate topped with fried egg and 2 scoop of rice) $17.95: 3 Stars – Honestly I don’t think I would order this again. The pork belly was definitely not crispy, the skin was more tough and super chewy that it got unpleasant to eat. Their special sauce was too sweet for me. I’ve had some amazing sisig (home cooked as well as at restaurant) and I was looking forward to this…
Hurricane Chicken (Boneless fried chicken drizzled with garlic sauce, mac salad, and 2 scoop of rice) $15.95: 4 Stars – I really enjoyed this and I actually had to swap my Sisig with this plate which my husband ordered. He hit it on the head when he said it looked and tasted like Honey walnut shrimp you get at a Chinese restaurant, which he’s not a huge fan of but I am!!
DRINKS: Ube Sweet Cream – Of the three things we ordered THIS WAS THE BEST THING. I like ube but never got on the “I love all things ube” train but the drink looked so pretty I had to try it even if its was 5pm in the afternoon. The sweet cream was so thick like it was pretty hard for any of it to come out of the small whole in the lid. When you say you’re giving me cream, give me some damn cream and they did!! The ube flavor went so well with the coffee and its not something I normally would have tried cause again (ube everything??).
MENU/RESTAURANT: I really like the menu being limited as it means one there isn’t a lot of time needed to decide. So you don’t have to stand behind someone in line that is taking forever to decide. I’ve been craving Filipino food for so long (like for 6 years since we’ve moved up here) that I had such high hopes. This place is obviously popular due to the high ratings on this and other platform and there was a constant decent size line the whole time we were there.
If you didn’t tell me they served Filipino food, I would have thought this was strictly a Hawaiian restaurant. The moment you walk through the door, the music, vibe, and décor was VERY Hawaiian. Small restaurant, clean, and bright. The only thing that kind of annoyed me was if there is a line, you would be in the way of the tables but that’s something almost all small restaurants deal with.
SERVICE: Limited interaction with the staff as this was a walk up and order and take a seat place. The most talking you have is with the person when you place the order. That being said, everyone...
Read moreTheir Ube Halo-Halo showed up in my IG feed and I decided to check it out since it's only about 25 mins away from me by car.
I went on Saturday morning, got there at about 11:45am and their cafe was already packed, and there's a wait for tables! Good thing I was planning to order to go. You'd order and pay at the counter and then you'll get a number so that the food can be served to your table.
I initially wanted the Ube Halo-Halo but after checking their menu, I ended up adding Chicken Adobo and Garlic Noodles with Chicken BBQ. I waited about 30 mins and my to-go order was ready!
The UBE Halo-Halo was so pretty and I had to eat some of the ice cream on top because it might melt while driving back home. It's delicious! Not too sweet (for me!).
Not sure if the food was pricey but they give generous amount of food.
The Garlic Noodles, I can only taste a bit of garlic, I was hoping for a stronger garlic taste (I love garlic noodles and I make one myself!). I should've not added the BBQ because they gave pretty good portion of the noodles- good enough for 2 people! So I saved the 3 pieces of chicken bbq for tomorrow (and I ate it the next day, it tasted like the actual Pinoy-style bbq I'm used to!).
The Chicken Adobo came with salad, rice, and mac. It's pretty decent (big servings), but I had better adobos. Not sure about the mac being paired with adobo, kinda reminds me of L&L Hawaiian BBQ. But the mac was pretty good! I just wish that they think of a better pairing.
Overall, I would come back for the...
