I love carbs specifically croissants! The croissants here are good but OMG the Chocolate Cake!!! Thatâs all you need to know and that will be my birthday this year!
Parking: Shared small retail lot Pet friendly: No Family friendly: Yes
FOOD: Croissants $4.85: 4 Star â This was a last minute decision 30 mins before they closed as we actually planned to for an early dinner at the cafĂ© a couple of doors down. They had some croissants left and they were a little smaller than I like for the price but very taste. Light layers of butter goodness. MMMMMMM!
Pain Au Chocolat: $4.90: 4 Star â âPlainâ croissants are always my go-to but the chocolate croissants were so big and inviting so it was like a why not. This was really good but Iâm always going to take savory over sweet. HA! Yea and next itâs the chocolate cake.
Chocolate cake: This was the last chocolate cake and I felt bad for it so I added it to my bag as a last minute whim. I am so glad I did!! This was unexpectedly good as it just look like a simple cake, so innocent and unadorn but this is almost as good as the best cake Iâve ever had (which is at Pastisserie Manon in Las Vegas â their Truffle cake). The perfect equal layer of chocolate sponge, chocolate mousse, and chocolate ganache.
MENU/RESTAURANT: I actually have no idea if there is a menu LOL I walked in and saw the croissant and it was like thatâs what Iâm getting. Their website has all their items if anyone is interested.
The restaurant is vary sparse and basic. But honestly I love that. To me it means this is a small place that is focused on their pastry and bread đ
SERVICE: I stepped in close to closing time so a lot of the items was gone which I felt like the staff would want to be gone. There was only one person working and he was so friendly. I assume he was the baker due to his culinary jacket. He was super friendly and was trying to my two year who was not having...

Read moreSo this review actually really hurts me to write. I moved into the apartment building next to this bakery either right after it opened or around there l that time in 2016? So I obviously tried it out and it is some very good pastries, I would talk to the owner Papa and he was always so kind. Until one day I brought my boyfriend in and he immediately seemed to not like me. I've always tipped well and recommended them still maybe thinking it was my imagination. Well I moved away and went in today, he welcomed to customers in front of me in and I said hi as well, he immediately turned away from me, he made small talk well l with them but when I came up he just says what do you want, I just told him what I wanted, he wouldn't say anything else and when I tried to put a tip he skipped it and just put zero when I've always tipped him well. It just really hurt, I had been nice to him for years and always supporting his business but the fact that I'm gay I guess I really get he doesn't want my business, my kindness or my money.
Also, anytime women worked there they seemed afraid of him and told me they weren't allowed to listen to music.
I don't like saying anything bad about people but I'm only saying this because I was a good kind paying customer for years and it really felt awful to get treated that way, even through he didn't do anything explicitly wrong. But if you are reading this Papa I know you know who I am and I'm saddened because I always...
