I've watched this location go downhill over the past couple of years, but today's experience was enough to detour me from going back! Service is always garbage with inexcusably long wait times to order, but the food is usually decent (until today that is). My server just looked at me with a blank stare when it was time to take my order- didn't greet Me or say anything at all. She looked annoyed to be there. As I was giving her my order, her coworker asked her a question. She started preparing my order while responding to her coworker- stopped what she doing to finish what she was saying and then disappeared into the back with no explanation. When she came back out, she proceeded to chat with her coworker again and then walked over to the register. She had 2 sides of mac in front of her with my order- I let her know that I asked for one order of Mac and an order of fries. She was totally annoyed by this and packed up some fries with a major attitude. I paid for my order and asked for ketchup- she stated "it's over there" while pointing towards the ketchup (it was closer to her than me because its on their side of the counter). Mind you- those were the only words she ever said to me. No greeting, no explanation when she disappeared, no I'm sorry for messing up because I was distracted/ talking to my coworker, no thank you- nothing. In addition to all this...the food was trash. I've honestly never received bad food from here but today the chicken tasted burnt and the fries were so oily and soggy that I threw them away. Read moreThere are always bad apples in every race, and this group of Hispanic employees were those bad apples. They did not want to serve me. I came in and stood at the counter for 10 minutes, no one else in line. Just me. They’re looking at me in their assembly line and talking to each other in Spanish, workers walking back and forth from the back to the front, looking at me in my eyes and I’m looking back at them in their eyes too. Still, no one approached me with actual customer service skills and asked, “is there anything I can help you with?” or “can I take your order?” All the customers they spoke with were Spanish, but they treated me as if I didn’t belong and I know they did not want to serve me. Once they served the Hispanic customers in front of me, they walked away from the counter and never came back to it. They just looked at me then looked away and continued acting busy. Mind you, there’s about 12 of them and not all of them are doing something. Some of them were just standing around talking in Spanish. I’m obviously at the counter to take an order. I had to yell “excuse me” to have someone come over. She asked for my name and made a face as if she was confused or something was wrong with my name. She ended with telling me sorry and I just replied thank you, because they really wasn’t going to serve me had I not said something out loud, they did not want to serve me, and the whole atmosphere was just biased and racist. So I’m not going to lie and reply with “that’s ok” or “no worries”. They need new management and employees....
Read moreI've been going to this location for many years and the quality of food and service never fails to impress. I had to take this time to recognize Jose Santos for his outstanding level of customer service and professionalism. I've moved around the Boston area various times and when I go back to the Everett, MA location I've found that seeing a familiar face, Jose Santos, has always been very welcoming. I went today, 2/12/2024 and saw him working hard and being very attentive to his customers and greeted me from afar to acknowledge me not only as a customer but as a loyal contributor to Popeyes. I immediately noticed that he had a distinct color shirt compared to the other crew members and I took the time to congratulate him on his long term achievement and career growth of becoming a manager. He fulfilled my order to perfection. Everything I ordered was fresh, and nothing was missing. Thank you Jose Santos for all your hard work and I want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed. Popeyes is lucky to have such a phenomenal person to be a part of their time. I really enjoyed my food and wanted to make sure he gets recognized for the level of service he has been able to provide.
