Sporty's Beef & Brew — Restaurant in Everett

I am so blown away that this place got reviews that said the food was good. Blown. Away. I want to say that the service was great. There's some shady patrons and the odds of you having to park next to a homeless camp or someone shooting up are pretty good. The food is some of the worst I've very had. A group of 4 of us ordered quite a bit- most of it was inedible. Pretzels appetizer- swimming in grease and surprisingly came with sausage too, it was the best thing but didn't finish it. Clam chowder- looked, tasted and smelled like glue, didn't finish. Potato skins- I believe they were deep fried? Then sour cream thrown on top? They were incredibly hard and gross. Didn't finish. Wings- once again, deep fried then hot sauce thrown on. Way over done. Didn't finish. 2 orders of the meatloaf meal. Pretty sure this was the worst. The meat was strange, the sauce (BBQ?) was overwhelmingly smokey. The mashed potatoes and gravy were cold. One person in our group didn't mind it and took his home. He told us the next week that when he reheated it at home, it was actually 2 burger patties smashed together... Maybe we were in an off night, but it was bad enough that I don't want to...

What's not to like about sporty's. To tell you the truth not much at all. So why only 3 stars you ask. Well it's not the food. Everything on the menu iv had is absolutely wonderful and not "wonderful for a bar" it's really good. I totally recommend stopping by for food. It totally gets 5 stars for food. The 3 stars comes from the drink prices and a few times questionable bills. I have only had a couple issues with the number of drinks being wrong. My friends that go have had it happen a bunch. I couldn't tell you who the employee is but my friends say if the see a certain women working they will go to a different spot cause they always have bill issues with her. As for the drink prices, they are not so high that I won't go back but I usually have to think about it for a while if a friend invites me after work. For the location I would say their prices are more in line with a more upscale place if I remember correctly I think I was paying the same prices at Daniel's broiler and Bellevue for the same drinks. We’ve been in here once before and it was a decent experience and I have never felt the need to review a bar before but my experience here tonight was less than bearable. I ordered a juicy Lucy, which is supposed to be a burger with a patty that is stuffed with cheese and is advertised as such in their menu. The first time it came there was a gaping hole in the center of the burger patty and absolutely no cheese inside. So I had it sent back in hopes that they'd get it right the second time. About 40 ish minutes later it comes back out again this time with no hole and again no cheese in the center of the patty. It was raw and very undercooked. My whole party was finished eating by the time I sent it back for the second time, ordering a completely different burger. And even the third burger was just subpar. I've never sent anything back in my life and never left a plate as full as I did tonight. Disappointment is what I felt leaving Sporty's this evening because my first visit was pleasant.
