Madison Avenue Pub — Restaurant in Everett

Terrible service, had a nice blond lady helping my friend and I we orded 2 drinks with double shots and they were great, another lady came by and asked if we needed menues even though we had 2 in front of us, we said no thanks and said we could use another drink since we weren't ordering food. We said we'd have the same 2 more doubles. Well the drinks came and they were singles, I flagged our original server down to explain that there was no way these were doubles and she apologized, she asked if we wanted another one and since it was nor a double I said sure we'll take the real double. .... and the drinks she brought were not doubles again. So we got charged for doubles x6 even though we only had 2 doubles. I even asked to cash out because I was irritated from being taken advantage of that they tried to get me to oay for somone else's table then come to find out I have to pay 68.09 for 6 drinks and only 2 were doubles. A: BLONDE LADY WHOS SHORT AND NEW SUOER NICE GAVE HER 20 TIP even though I got shafted. B: new short skinny lady who told me she's 40 and is very high strung needs to focus, and the other lady who's worked there for a while with brown hair who had to come out and try to justify how she has a heavy and and should be fired for how much she pours as she says should be reprimanded for lieing and pouring single shots as doubles. All in all I will not come back. Lived next to it for 8 years order food all the time from work and pick it up and order dinner and pick it up. I sped a few hundred a month here in food alone and I will no longer do business here. Truly...

We went to the Madison Avenue Pub to see a friend’s band play on a Tuesday night. The band was going to start playing at 7:00 and we got there at about 6:45. We parked on the street two blocks away because their parking lot was full, and when we walked in, it looked like every table was full too. The server was very busy, but when I asked her if any of the tables close to the band would be leaving soon, she took us right to a table that still had dishes on it and cleared it for us. It was a great table for watching the band! We had drinks and dinner. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with sweet potato fries. My friend wanted nachos for dinner, and they sounded like a good dish to share, so we ordered the large nachos to share between the four of us at the table. The server looked at us and said “you sure? It’s big!” But we ordered it anyway, only to find out she hadn’t been kidding. (We ended up splitting the leftover nachos into two takeout containers, each couple taking plenty home.) My friend and I split the Cuban sandwich. Maybe it wasn’t a totally authentic cubano, but it was still very good, and absolutely stuffed with meat, peppers, pickles, and Swiss cheese. My husband had the cheesesteak sandwich, and he enjoyed it. Our fourth companion enjoyed the pub burger, which is half off on Tuesdays. Verdict: tasty pub food, reasonable prices, live music, and very busy but helpful service. We’ll...

Well... One and DONE.

Stopped in for lunch with a co-worker. Parking lot was busy (full) and quite a few customers inside. Finally found a semi-clean table to sit at on the third try. We were greeted fairly promptly and ordered a couple drinks They were fine.

Looked over the rather large menu. My co-worker ordered breakfast for lunch (I think they serve until 3?). He ate his main dish first, but when he went to eat his hashbrowns, he immediately looked at me with a weird face.

"What?"

"My food smells like ammonia. Like really bad."

It did. That ain't good. Was something spilled?

I motioned for our server to come over and asked if she would smell his hashbrowns, there's something wrong. "I'm not smelling that."

"They smell like ammonia."

"I don't know how that could happen. I'll talk to somebody.", and she took the plate. A while later she arrived with the check. No compensation, didn't even offer to comp a drink. "Sorry 'bout that." and walked away.

Ammonia smell from potato product means they are spoiled. Serving spoiled hashbrowns for who knows how long to how many people. It seemed they probably sell a lot of breakfasts, which makes it even weirder as they should be going thru product faster, Poor food handling and/or poor refrigeration. ...
