I am not impressed with this place at all. The customer service skills from the cashier is very negative. She is always at the register, never smiles and looks irritated when taking orders. When you are at a register, you are the first person customers see - the last person they interact with before their exit and you should leave a great mark ! I am going to write this review in a very well detailed way to be heard because the manager needs to pay more attention. As I am reading reviews, everyone is saying great customer service. Hmmmmm...interesting ! I firmly believe this is when you call to order your food, you receive this great customer service. Calling or in person, customer service should remain positive. I am a very professional, neat looking person so I don't see what it could be. EVEN IF, I didn't look professional, or wasn't the well spoken type, the attitude from whoever is taking the order should be positive as it is over the phone. Whoever walks through that door, asks for an order, as long as they don't disrespect you, offend you with bad words, gestures, the person behind that register handling the orders SHOULD give that positive energy right back. She absolutely doesn't have good customer service skills. Her eyes are always rolling in the back of her head. She always have a rough, ready to attack look or as if she is tired of working there. I don't know how she got that job. I don't know if she feels like it's "just a deli" with an who cares attitude BUT deli , Saks 5th Avenue, Macys, a food stand outside on the corner near heavy traffic or the White House, your attitude should always be positive because a business relies on customers. If some of you say it's just one person saying this ( me ), maybe there are some others who didn't take the time to write a review or who just never came back to this deli and went other places. Number 2: Maybe this deli could of made way more if this was fixed. There is always room for advancement pertaining to great customer service skills ! CERTAINLY, whoever the manager is needs to have a very serious chat with her. This deli could of been one of the most comfortable spots in Everett, MA compared to the other delis around in EVERY SENSE. It is clean, and the food is great, don't get me wrong BUT this person behind the register makes you feel as if your service is not needed one bit !!!!! Lost me with that big time. Was thinking of even doing big orders for conferences BUT choosing another place ! I am sensing this girl probably got the job through a connection or is a family member. I am not sure. Either way, it doesn't make it right for this type of attitude for the business. Managers tend to have a better pass when it comes to an employee who was connected or is a family member but those employees are the main ones who are more willing to cause friction with no sense of care because there is a great level of comfort. Gave this place ONE STAR because even if the food is great but the negative energy from that employee makes you eat the food unhappy after you finish spending your money. I have every right to be. That type of attitude is certainly not cute and will cause...
Read moreEdit: now that it is next day, typically I get bathroom sick after eating pizza, I'm very sensitive to processed foods especially flour. This pizza didn't do that for me at all, this is a first aside from me making it at home. This is my new favorite pizza place. I wish there was a Worcester location so I didn't need to drive over an hour for it, but even at that, it's still worth it.
Really good pizza. Bit of a flop when I picked it up but after bending it just slightly it stayed straight. Perfect crisp in every bite. No soupy business. Minimal grease. It's honestly hard to not just go straight for another. It had a good tang to it, I think it's the parm, but not overbearing. The sauce is great. It has like the most itty bitty chunks, almost a marinara but not quite, very pleasant I really like the idea behind it that it's 100% naturally leavened dough and natural ingredients but that doesn't matter it's about taste and texture. Overall, I gotta give it a 9.2, so 5 stars on Google. This is in my head what a perfect pizza should be and if I really had to complain about something, the sauce was slightly bunched up at the crust vs the rest of the pie, could have used a bit more on...
Read moreBeen to John Bleaker's in NYC and completely feel Square Deli pizza is in that category of all time greats. Why? Bleaker's pizza, sauce, dough while good, it feels very similar to other great pie's I've tasted that offer a unique touch of delicious tomato sauce to go along with a nice dough. I've traveled the world and had pizza from Mexico to Amsterdam and beyond. Most pizza I have seen, tried and tasted was similar to say a Regina, Bleaker's. It's in that ballpark. The defining difference is the sauce. Square Deli has its own niche in the Hall of Fame. It has that sour dough with a distinctive sauce with a nice tang and of course the crunch factor. I am a thin crust pizza guy and the crunch is perfect. Chris, you can tell puts in the extra effort of love with the grated cheese, basil and olive oil on the crust. I always come in with a friend and we share a huge pie together. Well worth the trip and 100% best pizza I have tried in Everett and in that greater...
