Where else can you get great all-you-can-eat sushi for under $30? Well, you can go to California, but that's a bit of a stretch for sushi. Sushi Kingdom delivers without taking you across the country. This place is BYOB. [ FOOD ] There are tons of options here. You sit down and are given a sheet to fill out. You can order soups, rice, appetizers, sashimi, nigiri, rolls, etc. The selection is great and the presentation is good. I enjoy everything on the menu, the tempura is light and crispy and the salmon is fatty. [ SERVICE ] The staff dont speak a ton of English, but they are quite friendly depending. It's a bit hit or miss and sometimes a part of an order may not come out for whatever reason. The service is ok, but nothing to write home about. [ VALUE ] For the price, this place is great. The food is of quality and everything tastes great. The price is around $30 a person after taxes and all. If you can eat, you'll get your money's worth. If you dont eat a whole lot (less than 3 rolls or about 18 pieces) you might be better served going somewhere that serves ala carte. [ CROWDEDNESS ] This place can get busy on weekends and Fridays at night. The restaurant is on the smaller side and at peak times you will be limited to 2 hours. Just know that if the parking lot is full, there might be a decent wait. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] Great sushi, good enough service at the right price makes this place a winner for me. Keep your eyes open for coupons in the mail as well.

SLOW service, might need to repeat your order from time to time because some servers have a language barrier. EDIT: We come here quite often for lunch. Ordered a specialty roll and an Oyako Don. We waited 45+ minutes for this dish to come out. I asked a few servers after half an hours. Three servers later, the manager comes and gives us excuses. 1. There were no onions in the kitchen. (Okay but you couldn't tell us this maybe 5...10 minutes after we ordered and you found out? So you went out to get onions...fair enough...but no one even informed us it would take half an hour?) 2. The kitchen staff didn't know how to make this dish. (So...by now you didn't think it was important to tell us this dish would be a problem to make because it would also be the first time someone provides it for a customer?) 3. We had to call our boss to ask how to make it. (So nowhere in this process of 45+ minutes was it possible to inform the customer of what's going on in the kitchen?) 4. No one orders this (So we waited 45+ minutes for a dish that no one orders or makes regularly and now you charge us for it?) I am disappointed in the service and the excuses provided. We are not first time customers but this has to be the worst service. A 10% discount for a dish you made the first time that came 45+ minutes late? Come on. When I asked about our dish and we were told there were no onions in the kitchen..wasn't that a good time to tell us to change our order?

Edited to reflect reopening during Covid. I would give zero stars if possible as our experience was extremely disappointing. Ordered 8 rolls at first. It took 40 minutes for only 6 of them to come out. Two rolls only had four pieces each. Ordered 4 more rolls and ice cream. After waiting an additional 20 minutes with neither showing up, we ended up paying the bill and leaving. Service was horrendous and the sushi itself was disappointing. It did not taste fresh and was heavily rice based. It probably would have been faster just to order takeout from the place. They have an hour and a half limit on tables. In the hour and a half we were there, we were only served 6 rolls when we ordered 12. Very disappointed and will not be returning here. ***Original Review pre covid***** Sushi is good for AYCE and has a small amount of rice. The fish tastes fresh and they have a variety of raw specialty sushi rolls. Food was a solid 4 stars. Service is a different story. We went for lunch. The place was hardly crowded, yet the kitchen was super slow to serve. It seemed like they were still prepping around 12:30. It took almost two hours for us to receive a sushi plate with seven rolls and then another three rolls after. We ordered the crab salad and it came out over an hour after it was ordered. We would be willing to try this place again for dinner, but not for lunch.

Update for last visit on 6/23/2023: Downgrade from 4 to 2 stars šŸ˜’ We were Frequenting this place almost weekly or biweekly. We've always had good experiences with service and food. Everything has always been very pleasant. Our last visit on the 23rd of June was absolutely awful. I entered the restaurant and stood at the front desk for almost 5 minutes before I was acknowledged and seated. There were three other tables that were occupied including the one I ultimately sat down next to. The guy sitting next to me looked over and said good luck in getting some food. Another 5 or 10 minutes went by before they took my slips. Kitchen food came out almost immediately but the sushi was a good 15 minutes. The guy next to me would have loved to refill but after 15 minutes and nobody coming by to give him slips he walked up to the counter himself to get some. He then waited another 10 minutes for somebody to take those slips which never actually occurred. He looked over and said I'm out of here and went up to the counter and stood there waiting for somebody to ring him out. Wiley you might think this is a one off, the same thing was happening to another table catty corner from me. I also experienced the same but was able to get at least one refill after stopping a server walking past and asking her for slips and then stopping them again to actually take the slips. It was then another 20 minutes for the food to arrive at the table. It wasn't a shortage of employees as were four people behind the sushi bar and three waitresses standing around talking and talking and talking. What a shame. I normally tip between 20 and 30% when I go to an all you can eat. I left 10% and a note on the receipt explaining why my tip was low. The sushi is good but for $30 a person and horrible service it's just not worth it. Not sure when or if we'll be going back to this particular location. I had posted my experience on a local Marlton Facebook group and other people had commented that they've been experiencing the same horrible service recently. Many people seem to be very dissatisfied. It's a shame. Need to find a good location to replace this one.

Original posting from 2022 The food is good here. I wouldn't say it's the best, but good. The service is also very good. They are always watching without being overbearing. Drinks are refilled and plates are taken away promptly. They ask if you want anything additional as soon as they see your running low on your current offerings. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the price. At $30 per person its overpriced. I realize it's sushi but there are plenty of places that have good sushi at lower prices and the reality is you can't eat that much. I know it sound petty but even at $22 or $24 I would say it was a good deal. At the $30 price we will only go once or twice a year as it is overpriced. Overall, Good service and good food. Worth a try...

My friend and I recently went there on a Friday night dinner for the all-you-can-eat sushi. When inquiring about the restaurant, I had heard similar things: the sushi is good, but the service is terrible. Well, that’s really the God’s honest truth. The service was beyond terrible. When I got there the woman at the counter was by herself, taking an order on the phone, cashing a patron’s check and trying to seat guests walking in. She had extreme difficulty speaking English. I am very understanding and eat and patron lots of different Asian restaurants and businesses, and even I could not understand what she wanted us to do. All she did was hand me a piece of laminated square paper w the number 4 on it. I said, ā€œI’m sorry, I don’t understand? What do i do with this?ā€ What I thought she said was ā€œgive it to the waitress!ā€ So I waited and the next person who was a waitress who I saw, I gave my ticket too. She looked at me, didn’t speak and just gave it back to the woman working the front counter. At this point I became frustrated and confused. It took me watching the process and piecing together that we were the 4th party in line to be seated. After all this confusion and a lot of non-verbal communication, we then sat down at a table. Unfortunately, the waitress also was not pleasant and very short with us. When my friend asked a question about the ordering of food, she could not answer. Several patrons sitting around us were all making the same faces and we were commiserating about how terrible the service was. There’s just no excuse for this. While the food was fresh and it was unlimited, I will never come back here again. At the end of the day there needs to be better communication and friendlier customer service. There are too many other good sushi places in and around this area...

Quickie: phone and host service is bad. Waitresses are slow but sweet. Food is ok, some better than others and serving size confused us a bit. Nice that its byob. No biggie that it's plastic cups instead of wine glasses... but yea...lol. Cozy ambience, TVs playing. I wouldn't come back unless I was in the area and really wanted it.

Long story: So I called 2 days before for a reservation. Lady on the phone was very rude, But I figured it was nothing major and let it go.

I call day of because we were going to be 7mins late and got rude phone service again. At first she said no and I said we were just 5mins away at that point, so she says yea...maybe. "I'm sorry, but I need to know, not maybe. Its a bit of a drive for us." So she says, yeah! Yeah! And soon as I say ok, hangs up. We get there and are greeted with a customer complaining to us about the slow service (should of been a sign). I tell her I had a reservation and was a bit late and told her my name and she seemed confused. Said I was on phone with someone and she said ok to come. She asks my name again, I tell her. She says they don't take names, only numbers (huh?) But fine. Eventually get our seats. Place has cozy ambiance, nice lighting.

Water came right away but had to ask several times for cups for the wine. Service took a bit but it was fine when we got it. Sizes in our first round was small but that's fine, it's all you can eat so just order again. 2nd round we got more thinking itd be small but servings got alot bigger (specifically the rolls and meat). Not bad at all but then we wouldn't have ordered as much.

I usually take photos but wasn't really remarked by anything. But wish I did.

Overall, its not a bad place, but not sure if I'll be...
