My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and closed the day out by coming to Fleming's prime steakhouse in Marlton New Jersey.. We were met by the host who wished us happy anniversary and congratulations and once we were sat a number of the servers the servers also did the same. our server' name was Bailey. She was beyond excellent!!
She explained everything we asked about different items on the menu along with recommendations that she would suggest based on her personal experience. She responded any little whim that we may have had in the midst of the service and had a wonderful sense of humor when things had a laugh that was worth enjoying the moment.
As for the food, we had a Tuesday share promotion that was for a $145 including 2 salads a combination of 2 of their choicest combinations of meat 2 sides and then 2 desserts as well. We had a New York strip of 28 oz and a 6 oz filet mignon
To say the least the meat was excellently prepared and cooked. .. the Filet mignon essentially melted in our mouth
We had asparagus and Fleming potatoes for our 2 side items. The Fleming potatoes was essentially a creamy cheesy scalloped potato that was outstanding! I'm not a fan of the asparagus myself but my wife said the asparagus was also outstanding.
For dessert my wife had a dessert item that had the word gooey in it that she said was the awesome. I had a key lime pie that Bailey told us was made on the premises on the premises. There was plenty of tart plenty of tart but it was not overwhelming and you could taste plenty of the lime in the product
Needless to say we were more than ecstatic with the entire experience there was no lost time or Is lag timebetweenCourses
This restaurant would compete with the likes of a Ruth's Chris Or DelFrisco's and the price reflects that nature of the experience
If I have any concerns with the restaurant it may be the price, but, knowing the type of service and food that they provide the price was not in issue of any significance
Our overall experience there are not enough stars to rate its overall quality of the service quality of the food or the ambience of the restaurant. I would exceedingly recommend this establish it and would recommend that you ask For Bailey if she is on duty. Well I'm sure all the servers at Fleming are excellent at their craft, she certainly impressed us to wanna come back and see Flemings somewhere down...
Read moreA friend and I visited Fleming's in Marlton for the first time last night to attend a financial seminar. While the seminar itself was both interesting and informative, their venue left something to be desired! It should have been held at Bonefish Grill next door! The room that we were directed to was way too small for the number of people attending, though I'm not sure if that is the fault of Fleming's. If there had been a fire, we would have perished. As a matter of fact, I got a leg cramp from sitting in a chair that was backed up to the wall, with no room to move...anywhere. I couldn't have gotten out of the room inconspicuously during the presentation if my life depended on it.
Now to the food and service. Salads and bread, such as it was, were on the table when we arrived. The salad was okay, nothing special. The bread presented for five people may have been ample for two people. Skimpy. The presentation was over and dinner was served. The wait staff, while not rude, was certainly not friendly and they avoided eye contact so you could not possibly ask for coffee, tea, or anything. Eventually, the food arrived at our table. A filet, no garnishing, thrown on a plate for three of us and two small crab cakes for my friend and I. At least our platter had a little color to it, provided by the sauce on the crab cake. I was told the steaks were good and cooked as ordered. The crab cakes were good, but, again, nothing special. Creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were served family style (??). The spinach was good, the potatoes were, well, potatoes. No salt and pepper on the table--we had to trip a passing waitperson to get some. No waitperson in sight to ask for anything. No one ever checked to see if there was anything we needed. No coffee offered. No dessert. No nothing once the food was unceremoniously put on the table. Eventually, everyone just got up and wandered out, but not before I had to go looking for someone to give me a box for my crab cake.
I was disappointed in the whole experience and will probably not go back to Fleming's. I just didn't think it was anything special. I'm a frequent customer at Bonefish Grill in Deptford and I think I'll keep...
Read moreAmbience was lovely, so cozy and warm. The music was a perfect mix. Service was excellent, from seating us to our dedicated waitress plus all of the other servers that cleared our plates, refilled my water, or just smiled and said hello as they walked by. Tremendously wonderful and I LOVE the diverse staff. That is a big deal to my husband and I. Our food was excellent. Started with the burrato, ceasar salad for husband, and Fleming's salad for me. Delicious. Even the bread basket with different spreads was delicious. I ordered the chicken and shared sides were baked potato and asparagus. My chicken melted in my mouth. Tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. The marinade was delicate and a perfect compliment to the chicken. Baked potato was a bit dry, but I also get it plain haha. My husband ordered the dry aged ribeye. 16oz of good beef, just a fatty cut. Poor guy trimmed it down to like 5oz. lol, but our fabulous waitress, McCall, noticed that right away and got it comped for him. Completely unnecessary because it wasn't her fault and we wouldn't have complained, but it's these little things that make a difference and she more than a little for us. Dessert was the chocolate lava cake. No words. Melted in my mouth. The ice cream and cookie that accompanied it was superb. She also went above and beyond and added a Congratulations to it because we were celebrating our birthdays and being pregnant with our first child together. She knew this because when she came to our table, she spoke to us and engaged in light conversation. She was wonderful. The manager was also going around the tables asking if everything was okay. Again, extra touch that makes a difference. Thus was my first time there as I am new to NJ, but I will...
