I wouldn't be writing this review if the manager I spoke with followed up with me as promised but since that didn't happen, this is the only way I might be able to get her attention. Here is a photo of what I was chewing on that cut my gum behind my tooth. This metal was in my pasta. Thankfully, I didn't swallow this because it would really be a problem. All I wanted was a refund for my expensive lunch that I only had 3 bites of then threw it out because of shards of metal in my food. Considering the circumstances, if I was the manager, I would have offered a refund plus a gift card on top of it. This was a nasty piece of metal in my food! I completely understand mistakes happen but you address them when they do. You offered me a gift card which isn't a refund but at least I can use it as a gift for someone else. Had you done what you said you would do to fix the mistake, this would have been a 5 star review because my co-workers all enjoyed their food and I appreciate when people take responsibility to fix the issue. Read moreI don’t write reviews unless I’m super pleased with a service or super disappointed. To say Cattani’s Kitchen has the best service, atmosphere, and food I have EVER seen is a huge but true statement. Our server was beyond kind and attentive, the chef was brilliant, and the patrons made it feel homely. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and they made sure we had a magical experience, which I am truly grateful for. We started with the prosciutto and burrata appetizer. The burrata, prosciutto, figs, and arugula were so fresh, and the bread was perfectly crisp and seasoned. For our entrees, I got the vodka rigatoni and he got cacio e pepe. Everything was perfectly al dente, flavorful, and authentic. The portion sizes were perfect (we went with the half orders). For dessert, we took home the mini cannolis. I felt like I was back in Florence again! Thank you to the staff and chefs at Cattani’s. We will be back as...
Read moreI was blown away. The burrata was tasty and topped with an excellent pesto. Accompaniments of olives and house-roasted bell peppers were excellent, with the olives (house cured?) the best I've had. The toasts however should not have been served: fantastic look, but stale. That marred the appetizer and made me question the wisdom of visiting.
But the mains definitely overcame that start. We opted for two half portions of pasta dishes: gnudi and Cecilia's stracatini. The gnudi were beautifully light, and the ragout a wonderfully rustic take, with satisfyingly substantial pieces of short rib.
But of the stracatini I cannot say enough. Utter perfection. Pasta was again of the same high standard. The sauce was an excellent pairing, with generous drizzles of both sweet sausage and applewood-smoked bacon.
I look forward to many future visits and becoming acquainted with the rest...
