CVS — Local services in Ewing Township

Absolutely worst pharmacy anyone could use. My husband dropped of a script for our 1 yr old son who just had surgery. My husband gave them his new insurance info along with the script. They said it would be filled the next day. It wasn’t, they sent a text stating they couldn’t put it through insurance. My husband called and they left him on hold for an hour and he finally hung up. I drove in with my son who again just had surgery. The pharmacist tried to tell me the insurance wouldn’t cover it because we could get it over the counter. She never even tried to put it through the insurance and challenged me. I was a pharmacy tech for 10 years I know how insurance works. What it came down to was she didn’t want to do her job. This isn’t the first issue we have had either. It amazes me that every single employee behind that counter should be a certified pharmacy or properly educated pharmacist yet they are clearly inept at doing their jobs. In spite of this pharmacy being just a few minutes away from my residence, I've finally decided to switch after a number of awful experiences. I would rather drive the extra 10-15 minutes out of the way just so I do not have to come back here ever again. The Pharmacy staff is incredibly rude and completely disorganized. On several occasions, I've arrived nearly 2 hours after a prescription was called in just to arrive and be told that I would have to wait another hour for it to be filled. This is usually after waiting up to 10 minutes while the staff tries to track down the prescription. When I ask the staff why it takes several hours to fill a script, the only explanation I am provided is that they are busy and there is nothing else they can do.

After the last incident, I asked to speak with the store manager. She told me that numerous customers have had the same complaints and I was directed to call the corporate office to file a formal complaint.

Recently I have had nothing but issues with this location no baskets or shopping carts to put items in I had to hold them in my hand. Also on one occasion I had to press bell for assistance four times and nobody came I had to go get an employee from the cash register. Also the staff in the pharmacy have attitude. And this cvs seems to be having issues with their system valid coupons don't seem to be coming off of transactions. The only glimmer of hope for this location is the new manager they put in place for this store Frank. Frank was so nice to me helped through my entire transaction he took off the coupon he saw were not coming off. And I even told him about my inconvenience on previous occasions at this location and he understood and communicated with me about how he plans to improve things going forward. He was really wonderful if any one does couponing I recommend doing your transaction when he is there (he will take care of you and make sure it goes smoothly) . If I could give him a rating five...
