I’ve only been here twice. The first time I got cheesesteaks and fries. They were both really good and I thought that maybe I had found a new spot for sandwiches. When I got home the fries and sandwiches were piping hot and really good! Now this is where things went left. I decided to get sandwiches again last night for the family and they were cool. I phoned to place our orders and the music they were playing was way, way too loud! It was so loud that I could hardly hear him and I was thinking that he couldn’t possibly hear me either. During our exchange I men the music several times even asking him to turn it down or off. The guy just ignored me and kept asking me questions that I just couldn’t make out. Finally the guy HUNG UP ON ME! I couldn’t believe it! I called backed and asked why did he do that and he again ignored my question. ONLY because I told the kids I was getting food from here I pressed on but was pissed! I arrived at the place and there were 2 guys manning the grill area. The guy asked me what I ordered and yes, I could hear the music. Another thing was how profusely he was sweat! I mean A LOT!!! I told him what my order was and he comes up to me and asks again. I repeated my order and he says “I’m sorry but I made you a chicken cheesesteak instead.” I said probably the music was too loud and you couldn’t hear me! He said I’ll make it fresh just have a seat. After a long day of work, plus the phone debacle we were off to a bad experience. I sat and started thinking to myself, pissed and decided to walk out. I was gonna spend about 50 bucks and I deserve a little better experience than this for takeout. I’m not a “Karen” but damn! I go to my car and the guy chases and “hey, hey bro,hey don’t go. Let me make it fresh for you!” At this point I’m in my car talking to him thru my driver’s open window. I told him that this was the worse experience for sandwich takeout and I changed my mind. After sharing my experience on the phone just placing my order he says, it was the other guy and his English is not that good at all. I asked then why the hell is he answering the phone and taking orders?! I made for a very bad experience! I told him it turned me off so much that I won’t...

Over a week ago I put in an order, for delivery, for an event. I called the day before to verify the order (made special notes for this order) and was told that someone will call first thing Friday, August 5, 2022, Morning to verify the order. After noticing the order never made it on time I checked the door dash status to see that Ray's declined the order. I then called them to see what the issue was and that he doesn't know what happened. I asked to speak to someone that would know and was told no one was in the building.

Me trying to give this business the benefit of the doubt, I assumed that a wrong button was hot for this order which caused the cancellation. I went back on the app and put the same order in to only get it declined. The coworker that was in the store to pick up asked to speak to a manager and was rudely spoken to.

I called to ask what happened and he said the manager cancelled it. When I asked to speak to the manager the worker said the manager wasn't there.

The employee was BEYOND rude the entire time.

So for the last 2 years since discovering Rays, I've only ordered cold sandwiches specifically the spicy Italian which has been really good. When ordering sandwiches I always have the lettuce and tomatoes put in a separate container as well as oil and vinegar, to lessen the risk of soaking my bread. Yesterday I ordered the same sandwich and a cheese steak for my friend. We figured we could share halves. Unfortunately I forgot to ask for the lettuce and tomatoes to be put in a separate container, and 5 minutes later when I arrived home the bread was soaked!! I never got the oil in vinegar either! Clearly they don't pat The vegetables dry or drain it before putting it on the bread! Gross! I changed the bread with bread I had at home. The cheesesteak might have have been good if they hadn't taken it upon themselves to put a huge amount of salt all over it!
