This small town brewery and pub is loaded with character! The architecture is so charming. There used to be a brothel upstairs and rumor has it, some of the ladies of the night still haunt the building.

But you don’t visit a brewery for the spooks, so let’s talk beer. The Siloam Irish Stout is fantastic! My husband had it while visiting a year ago and couldn’t wait to go back for it. The Spruengling is the Atlas version of Yuengling and is delightful. Overall, they have a nice variety with several styles of brews to choose from. They also keep a rotation of high end bourbon for the non-beer drinkers.

Used to be a great place for the locals to come and enjoy a cold drink and catch up with friends. But I've discovered ever since new owners and renamed the Atlas.. The bartenders are rude and slow... The crowd is different... Very unfriendly.. Bottom line is I do not patronize this business anymore. I take my money elsewhere!.

This is a great little old time saloon in downtown excelsior springs. Dates back to the 1800’s. They make 5 craft beers that are on tap 365 days a year. Don’t let that seem disappointing. Each beer style is truly at the top of its game. Liquid perfection. Best Hellas I’ve ever tasted. And the Schlitz based (Atlas Brew) original recipe? Delicious.
