Last week, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at The Springs Restaurant, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We chose to sit at the iconic "Liars Table," which added a playful and nostalgic charm to our visit. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service was warm and attentive, making us feel right at home.
As someone who fondly remembers working at the Mill Inn, our time at The Springs brought back a flood of wonderful memories. The restaurant beautifully captures the essence of Excelsior Springs' rich history and community spirit.
The mural on the wall, depicting the Excelsior Springs well, is a perfect tribute to the town’s roots. It’s not just a decoration; it’s a meaningful piece of art that ties the restaurant to the heart of this community. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into making The Springs more than just a place to eat—it’s a celebration of the town’s heritage.
Excelsior Springs is lucky to have The Springs Restaurant. It’s a gem that combines great food, fantastic service, and a deep appreciation for local history. My family and I can’t...
Read moreWe had dinner on a Saturday evening, roughly 2 weeks after their opening. We were originally going to wait a few more weeks for the restaurant to get in their groove and work the kinks out, but we are very pleased that we changed our minds.
The food was perfect, cheeseburger with fries and meatloaf with mashed taters/brown gravy. The service was exceptional. Very attentive and friendly without being overwhelming. Even our fellow diners were friendly and enjoyable. We were seated immediately, and food wait time was very short. Dinner for 2 was right at $30, extremely good value and we left with our bellies satisfied.
The atmosphere is family friendly and casual, and very clean. Bathrooms equally as clean and well appointed. Parking was sufficient this particular evening, although on a busy night it may be tricky to park a larger vehicle if the center spots are filled.
Overall, very pleased with our visit and will be back soon. Next time, we're...
Read moreMy family of four attempted to eat here for dinner tonight. We showed up around 6 and were told to seat ourselves. We immediately were asked what drinks we wanted and they were brought out in a timely manner by the cashier. She let us know that our server would be with us shortly. There were only 3 tables seated while we were there including ours and we waited probably 15 minutes before leaving due to our server not acknowledging us or refilling our drinks in that time even though we saw her pass more than once.
Also, while looking at the menu I noticed that they had an asterisk marking that undercooked foods could make you ill on every single menu item including items like chicken not just the menu items which people typically order cooked less...
