Sabatini's Bottle Shop & Bar — Restaurant in Exeter

My friend and I went in for a drink at 2pm on November 4th. The bartender never welcomed us or said anything. We waited for over 10 minutes without him saying anything to us. He finally came over and was not polite and seemed in a hurry. Wanted to just have us order. We ordered our beer and then got it and started drinking. Then he came over and asked what we wanted to eat. We said no thank you. He then very curt he said “you have you. It’s the Pennsylvania law.” I asked what there is to eat and he didn’t know all the items they had. I cannot eat dairy and all his options were dairy. He then said “if you do not eat you have to leave.” We were unaware of the food requirements. There was no signage in the establishment about the food and drink requirements and we told him this. He said “it’s not my fault.” We have not been out that often and were not aware of the rule so we got up and left. It was discouraging because we wanted to buy some beer to go and patronize the establishment. Now we will never go back here again. Local businesses should make each customer aware of rules, even if they assume everyone should know. It was poor customer service and disappointing that the business didn’t have better communication...

This place is a hidden gem. Since I moved from Miami I have been visiting this bar even though it is a 30 min drive from home. The decoration is welcoming and relaxing, service is fast and amiable ( not a common thing in this part of the country) and the alcoholic beverage selection is ample. You can buy some cigars ( selection can improve). This is not a football bar, so don't bring your buddies to make noice here, this is more like a place with a high end vibe where you enjoy a evening conversation while not paying steep prices. Food selection is limited to pizza and appetizers. Scotch selection is fenomenal. Folk.s this place is a must try.This place is well received by many who go here always as it has the best service and staff and the pizza and other food selections are amazing.I.know we all have different taste so not everyone likes the same things.The place.has a outside enclosed front patio with table and umbrellas.The mix adult drinks are awesome as well as their fine selections.I must also point out their family pizza restaurant is also next door accross from the bottle shop in the same parking lot.You can go there and try their great selection of pizza.The owners are local and very nice folks and everyone that works there are very attentive to the customers needs.Please try it...
