Francheskas Deli Restaurant — Restaurant in Fair Lawn

I was disappointed with both the service and food. Although kind on the phone, they messed up my order, took long and the food didn't taste that good.

I ordered take out over 2 hours in advance of pick up and still had to wait over 10 minutes for it- when the place was empty!

Then it came out and it was beef, NOT chicken as I ordered. She blamed the cook but it was too late to fix it.

I ordered Lomo de pollo, which is a go to dish for me. This one just tasted like pure soy sauce- nothing else. Fries were mushy, tomatoes and onions barely cooked and overall just tasted like soy sauce.

The empanadas were ok. The chicken filling was good, but very little stuffing and lots of dough. Not a fan of the meat in the beef one.

This place needs management. When I entered the empty reauarant no one even acknowledged me. The lady sitting at the back corner table just screamed loudly across the restaurant to some in the kitchen to come out. While I was waiting, that same lady did get up and walk around the counter to then help someone else. Definitely not the way to take care of your customers

My mom and I were one of the last customers rolling in before the deli closed. We were in the area for a dentist appointment and we were pretty hungry. We had a chopped cheese, plantain empanadas with green sauce and regular beef empanadas with mayoketchup. I absolutely LOVED the chopped cheese and plantain empanada! The meat in the chopped cheese was super flavorful and the cheese and lettuce pulled it all together. I'm almost tempted to make the 25+ minute drive for another in a few days 😭. The plantain empanada really stole the show though. The outside is perfectly crispy, and perfectly thin! I believe it had mozzarella inside. It came with some green sauce which was garlicky and so full of flavor, I wish we had taken some to go. The owner was chatting with us and super welcoming. He told us that they haven't been open for long, but with food that tasty I can imagine they'll have a lot of success. I ordered cheeseburger w/french fried. If I had just left without a receipt, I would have had to pay more. Even though the cheeseburger is marked separately as fench fried and the menu says cheeseburger and french fried together, I don't think you get it separately. I said it right away and got paid for the fried food, but I feel bad. I ordered Western omelet for $13 before, but only the omelet came out, so I asked why it shouldn't come with home potato fried and toast, so they only gave it to me then.
