Hot Bagels — Restaurant in Fair Lawn

I never leave negative reviews but this place rubbed me the wrong way. First off they didn’t use gloves to make the food. The service wasn’t good. The employees were rude and made me feel very uncomfortable for being there. They screamed when I walked in and made such a big deal I thought they were closed and I was interrupting the cleaning process but they told me they didn’t close for another three hours. I continued to be polite but they gave me attitude and made me feel like an idiot for wanting to order food. The store wasn’t busy and the employees were all sitting around doing nothing except screaming and messing around. I got a taylor ham egg and cheese on and everything bagel. The bagel wasn’t very good. It was way too soft and tasted more like a roll then a bagel. There was barely any egg or cheese on the sandwich. One positive was that it was under $5. It’s safe to say I will not be returning. The bagel wasn’t good and the atmosphere was so uncomfortable because of the employees. Management should tell the kids working there to be nice to...

I'm not going to lie... when I decided to first try this place out I was impressed with the quality of the bagels but was really disappointed with the staff. Initially they were not quick to help, they were not friendly when they did help and the 3rd or fourth time I went in I could swear to God they were purposely ignoring me... so I had to walk out... I avoided this place for almost a year after that.... but their bagels are so good I had to give it another try. . And I'm glad I did... same staff... but much more attentive to all customers, including me.. food is great, prices are fair, and the staff is now much more friendly and personable than they were during my initial first few visits. They don't accept credit cards but there's an atm inside.... I would rate them five stars if they started accepting cards... but definitely go buy a bagel here... They're great... maybe even better than River Road Hot Bagels.......

Recently I have been visiting Hot Bagels for lunch. The shop is always clean and we'll stocked with bagels, spreads, salads, and drinks. The staff has always been quick to help take my order, and often asks if I would like to customize anything such as the type of wrap or a side salad.

I really like the quality of their bagels, they have a good amount of topping, are baked to develop a nice crust, and are a maintain a soft center after toasting. The staff use a generous amount of cream cheese to boot.

The wraps are all made right on front of you, chicken grilled hot, wrap toasted, lettuce chopped, well done! Great proportion of veggies to meat, and just enough sauce for flavor with minimal drip.

The staff can be pretty busy multi tasking at times, but have always gotten everything done quick, and completely. Every once in a while they will crack a joke about green...
